Everquest 2 Problem

Just bought Multiplicity Pro over the weekend and I love it great program works perfectly in the most part......

I play Everquest 2 a lot and 2 box. This involves a lot of the time one character on auto follow on the other. Mostly it works but its seems to have a really annoying bug of some sort hoping some of you guys know a work around.

Basically 90% of the time I can just move the mouse pointer from the main pc to the 2nd pc with out an issue. But occasionally when I go from the main to the 2nd pc. It seems to innitiate auto run on the 2nd pc. So I have to press stop fast or end up running off into the distance. This in itself is ok to deal with.

The big problem I am experiencing is that when you go from the 2nd PC back to the main PC. Every now and then it will put the main PC onto run and it will not stop no matter what you press you can not stop it running. You then have to /quit out of Everquest 2 to actually stop the thing. Then go back in and it works fine until the next time. Its not always foward it gets stuck in sometimes it gets stuck running in circles.

I have tried a few things such as using a hot key to change from main to 2nd PC but with no luck. Also tried to unplug the keyboard from the 2nd pc again no luck. It seems totally random there is no hard and fast way to know its about to happen until it does.

Anyone shed any light on this for me I would be very grateful

It retains the key you were pressing when you switched screens. Its quite handy to use it to autorun once you get used to what its doing.
e.g you are running forward pressing W, you move the mouse off screen release W and the char keeps running, when you return the mouse to the game window, press W again to cancel.
If you are familiar with any keyboard emulators or such, a key press requires a "KEY DOWN" and a "KEY UP", what you are doing is preventing the game from getting the "KEY UP" so you need to resend it.

In short, press the key you were pressing to cancel, or dont press a key while moving mouse off screen.

Thanks very much for the quick response. The key up and key down thing makes things a little clearer on how it works.

So I am guessing that most of the problems happen when Auto follow is on the 2nd pc. Again a guess that when I move on the main screen then stop moving. If I scroll over to the 2nd pc it may still be receving the signal to follow. Hence why when I go fast back to the main pc occasionally gets stuck in an auto run loop.

Easy to test out next time I play. When on auto follow will hit the move backwards key to cancel the follow and cancel the command and see how it pans out.

Thanks again at least now I have a starting point.

This problem can be a little annoying at times, but at least it's source is known. It happens to me every once and a while, mostly when I'm depressing my run key on my primary with my sausage fingers and switch to my secondary without stopping first.

Other than this, I don't think I've had a single issue with multiplicity in EQ2.

I wish I could say the same for EQ1, the main reason I bought multiplicity.

This happens to me from time to time, just remeber to turn into the skid.

In other words if it is turning right press the key to turn right. If it is running forward press the key that goes forward. The game received the key down for the key and thinks you are holding it down you need to send a key up for the key.

Basicly PC one see key down you scoll the mouse to pc two and release the key. PC two get the key up and PC one keeps doing the action.

What would be nice is if Multpicity would send a key up when you scroll off the screen.
