I think I'm pregnant

Ok so it isn't really me but close enough

As some of you know my wife and I have been going through the invetro fertilization for a while now. They did the transfer Tuesday a week ago and the pregnancy test was yesterday. It was positive just as the six home tests my wife did were. (She is so impatient)

Wahoooo! I'm gonna be a daddy. I hope. They will do another test tomorrow to confirm the pregnancy and to give us a good idea of how many we may be having. Right now twins look strong but there is a possibility for more.

Normally I wouldn't get excited but in four tries we have never made it this far. Twice we were canceled after going almost all the way through the cycle so this is great news.

Congrats, John. That's a good thing.

Just think, you could have a ready-made family really quick! If you have three or four all at once, you'll probably be so busy that you'll be done . . .

Good luck!

How cute and funny. I guess she had to double and triple and six times check. It's just a little lima bean now maybe more than one. Congratulations! I'm so excited for you. What a big day! I can't wait to find out how many.

Congrats and best wishes! No offense, but if you don't have a uterus, you can't claim "I'm pregnant" or "we're pregnant". You have gone through a lot though and I am truly hopeful that it will be nothing but healthy pregnancy and birth for your wife. Hormones are bad enough normally but I know women who have gone through the whole invitro ordeal of injections and my heart goes out to your wife.

I can't imagine having more than one newborn at a time! My only advice, line up as much help as you can, especially for night time. You'll feel like all you're doing is feeding and changing for a while. We have friends who have had twins and they charted all the ins and outs to help. The had wall-to-wall diapers and burp cloths and permanent bags under their eyes for a while but they were very happy through it all and have a beautiful family as a result.

Best of wishes. Parenthood is the toughest job you'll ever love.

Congrats John...that is wonderful.

I don't know how anyone could have more than one at a time though....wow. Makes me tired just thinking about it. heh.

But I am sure you're up to the challenge.

Well, you may not be the one pregnant, but I am sure you will be feeling the sympathy pains. Congrats!

I think the two times we got canceled were as bad as a complete cycle. Thank you!

A day late -- I laughed out loud when I saw this in the forums. So now some guy named John thinks he's pregnant! For a second I thought you were making fun of all us pregnant women here.

Seriously, Congratulations! I hope you get all the babies you want, but if they're way too many I second the others' advice: GET SOME ROUND-THE-CLOCK HELP!

That is so sweet. I often hear pregnant women say this kind of thing, but rarely the dad.

You'll be a fabulous daddy John, as I am sure your son would attest already.

John makes a fast break towards the goal he fakes and draws the goalie towards him. John passes to the Doctor. Doctor shoots. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe a hat Trick? .

Congrats. It seems to me that the couples who have to work the hardest for pregnancy are the ones who appreciate new life the most.

Blessings,

Congrats. It's clear how much you love the children in your family. I'm sure you two will make terrific, devoted parents.

That's a BIG (and rude) assumption on your part.

Like crud we can't! We're the ones who have to endure the third trimester glares for every errant word and accusations about our ancestry all the way back to Adam during labor! (LOL...I HOPE you know I'm joking here, Jill).

But seriously, if ANY man could make this statement, I would give someone who had been with his wife through rounds of in vitro fertilization first priority. While he may not endure the physical pains of the pregnancy, he HAS endured the repeated roller coaster of emotions that people like myself, frankly, don't know.

Congrats, and best wishes!

I think I will do fine but the kid is my nephew. This will be our first child.

I don't know becuse I don't have anything to compare it to. However, I do know how happy I am and I can't imagine anyone else being this happy. That's just me though.
