As some of you know my wife and I have been going through the invetro fertilization for a while now. They did the transfer Tuesday a week ago and the pregnancy test was yesterday. It was positive just as the six home tests my wife did were. (She is so impatient)

Wahoooo! I'm gonna be a daddy. I hope. They will do another test tomorrow to confirm the pregnancy and to give us a good idea of how many we may be having. Right now twins look strong but there is a possibility for more.

Normally I wouldn't get excited but in four tries we have never made it this far. Twice we were canceled after going almost all the way through the cycle so this is great news.

But seriously, if ANY man could make this statement, I would give someone who had been with his wife through rounds of in vitro fertilization first priority.


You know I half way agree with you here. I know more about the whole process than most people who don't go through in vitro. The worst part about knowing more is that you have to learn the good and the bad. Even though I am very excited about her being pregnant I still have to keep in mind that something could go wrong. Knowing all of the things that could go/be wrong is a bit too much.
