Joeuser People I would like to meet! My short list

First off I totally understand people I WOULD LIKE TO MEET MIGHT NOT WANT TO MEET ME!

Whip, Because she is outrageous and bright and under that "i will kill persona" Beats a heart of gold.

Drmiler, because even though he was a navy man , he has the heart of a patriot and warrior.

Drguy, because we think so much alike.

Tex, because never have I seen a woman/child as in love with life as she.

Dharma< her kind and gentle ways have always soothed the savage beast inside of me.

Maso, because of his outstanding love for life and his wife makes me think we could bridge the oceans betwen us and become good pals if not friends.

Gid, because I have seldom seen a more stubborn out spoken in your face kind of man.

Mason, because thugs together have more fun when they are not 'REAL THUGS" anymore.

shovel, because he keeps us safe from the monsters that live among us and he is a biker dude, we could trade war stories all night I am sure.

Baker and terp must be 10, I have much in common with baker {scarey huh baker} and terp has a heart of gold.
Foreverserenity, her loving ways ahve reached me in a manner I was suprised to see. Ted, who stands fast in his religion and views and always debates kindly {except for colgene who could pss a saint off} Island dog, Who I have been missing recently and how quickly he has become someone I look forward to reading.

The end!" Who would you like meeting?, and please do not feel if you are my list I have to be on yours.

I'm not on your list?

Interesting list. I wouldn't mind meeting some people here as well. I have learned so much from here and I can probably learn even more in a face to face conversation. I guess I would have to think who and why.

BTW, am I somewhere in that list below the top 10? You know, somewhere around 100 at least?

I don't really have a top ten....but there are people I've thought about meeting...what it would be like...how I'd do it etc.

I'd love to have a girl's lunch out with Karma, Forever, Inbloom, Jill, Xtine, and Kelly W. Of course we'd have to go somewhere vegan for Karma, but as long as they have killer Margarittas....well it would rock.

I'd like to go out dancing or to the gym with Life Happens and Loca (though they both def fit the lunch group as well.)

I'd like to attend a Bible Study with HC, KFC, Chak (hehe really), Sodaiho, Baker and right winger.

I'd like to show up at Whip's house with a bottle of wine and some gourmet cheese and sit chatting the day away.

I would like to go out for couples dinner(bringing spouses) with ParaTed, MM, Baker, JustJon and Gid. Because I would love to meet the women married to these guys!

I'd like to meet Mason for coffee or ice cream next time he's in town. And maybe hook him up with a girl friend. (Though my husband would NEVER go for that. Still I can think about it.)

I would like to meet Tex at North Shore over frozen frosty drinks while watching the surfers.

Often when someone responds on my blog and I start to get to know them...I wonder what they look like and how to meet them. These are just a few of the ones I've thought about!

I should add there are many more bloggers I would like to meet...the ideal place and time has not occured to me yet!

what well thought out responces. When I was on AOL and use to chat, after 2 years some of us got together {around 35} we did that for a couple years, but it soon degenated into sniping and bad stuff.

????? I wonder if she meant me.

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised. Don't get me wrong. I just have never had real friends so I tend to think I'm good at making people dislike me for some reason. I don't know why though. I'm a nice guy.

Not sucking up here, but my first choice would be Brad. I respect the hell out of what he has built up, and, while I disagree with him from time to time, I think he's got a business mind I would LOVE to tap (oddly enough, one of my eventual "vacation" plans is to try to go up and visit Stardock and meet the crew).

LW and Simon are high on my list, as is the "man behind the mask" of Sir Peter. Of course, dharma and Tex are high on the list as well.

kingbee, gene nash, bakerstreet, dr. guy and moderateman make the list as well. Pretty much every regular on JU is someone I would like to meet, including Myrrander (a damn smart cookie, even if I disagree with him 99% of the time). I don't like making lists because I guarantee you someone will feel left out. And any omission was not meant as a slight, they were just not names that first came to mind.

I think your list is just that your list and if someone feels left out or slighted, they need to step back and look at themselves, HARD!

yikes... I left out one of my VERY VERY favorites!

forgive me donna.

That would be awesome but I would want to add Dharma to that list and give me a few more months before hitting the margaritas

(oddly enough, one of my eventual "vacation" plans is to try to go up and visit Stardock and meet the crew).

Let me know if you ever make it over here so I can come in to the office that day and meet you!

I already know the Stardock people around here but would love to meet many others. The ones off the top of my head would be Dharma and Tex (they've already reached out in real life). They are truly kind, caring people who I think I have connected with and would hit it off in real life with. So many people have been so kind to me here though. It would be hard to make a list.

Ok 1-5 would be Miss Carin' Karen herself, Dharma. Tough and nails but one cuddly soft fuzz ball. There is one ribcrusher of a hug building up between us... for our bones' sakes, I hope we meetup soon ;~D

But you did ask for 10... so (the remainder not necessarily in any order..

~ Dr. Guy: Back me up or call me to task, he's my more prolific reader and commenter. Besides, he bought his son a bass... how cool is that!

~ Myrrander: Sure, he thinks I'm a brainwashed rightwing Christian nutjob, but hey, I think he's an academic elitist, but we still have fun shooting the breeze at times.

~ Texas Wahine: Ok, Brandie, yeah, I'd like to meed you mostly to see which of your many faces is really you! I also think you are someone I'd not only like to meet, but (like Dharma) someone I could be friends with (even if there wasn't a JU).

~ MsMitchell: Oh yeah, she doesn't count for this list, we're already good friends. ;~D

~ ForeverSerenity: She invited me to sit with her, eat popcorn and watch chick flicks (at least the ones I'd like also)... nothing says "come meet me sometime" like an invitation like that! A great person with the gorgeous long hair or the adoreable short. ;~d

~ BlueDev: Who else would I want to crank up the tunes and discuss the finer points of Urinary Tracts Infections over a plate of hot cheesy nachos? You gotta know that the UTI Shuffle ain't a dance to keep up with us when we get together. ;~d

~ ModerateMan: Me and you can meet at the Earth Day Parade eating Red Cockaded Woodpecker Wings and asking Tree Huggers why the garbage can is too good for their TofuBurger wrappers and Soy Milk cartons.

~ Manopeace: How can one ever forget that a Jewish Man in Israel was the first to order your Christmas CD! And taking the time to mail the check so I could have an envelope with a Jerusalem stamp, dated Christmas day?? Besides, to move from the safety of New York to Israel because he and his blessed wife decided that's where they could be of most help... We don't see eye to eye politically, but we do see where we are needed and get there!

~: ShadowWar: A kindred spirit in our love for country, our Military and calling the MSM to repentance for their wicked, deceitful ways!

There are more, but I've taken up all the 10 and too much of your time already!

I think Texas Wahine would be an incredibly fun person to be around and hang out with; she is so funny, as well as Forever Serenity because she seems so positive and sweet all the time. I have to add Dr. Guy because he makes me laugh so much!(and because he shares my quirky love of cats!) All of the Stardock people obviously I know since I work here

I would like to meet Little Whip and Baker the most....although, DrMiler, MM, DrGuy, ParaTed and a few others come in that list real close.

But, with Baker and Whip, even they don't really get along too much on here...well, Baker says WHAT I want to say, and Whip says it HOW I want to say it

I know I don't post all that much, but really, I am checking out the site ALL THE TIME. I love reading everyone's articles, including even Gene's.....

Thanks Moderateman, aka Elie.  Here is my 10, and please, those not included is because there are too many of you!

First, and foremost Mason.  We watched him drag his shattered body up and resurrect himself!  That is a real man!  And a true sucess story.

Second, Dharma.  Ok, I am piling on, but another that arose from the ashes!  I cannot help but admire her.

Third, Ellie.  But then I am starting to repeat myself, N'est pas?  yes, a man who got kicked in the teeth early and then kicked back to suceed in life.  WHo is very intelligent, but refuses to admit it.

Forth, Doc Miler.  Another one that life dealt a bad hand and he made the best of it!  besides, Elie, I am a navy man!  Always!

Fifth, Trudy.  She sounds so much like my older sister, it is eerie.  Same age, and almost the same experiences!

Sixth, DynaMaso.  If you have listened to his music, you want to at least be in the audience for his next gig!

Seventh, IslandGurl.  Ok, this one is I just want to live on an island paradise and have someone show me the ropes!  I am human after all!

Eighth, Manopeace.  I want to sit down and talk to him and discuss politics, without the feiry rhetoric.  I know he can, I have done it before with him.  And he has experiences I would like to hear more about.

Ninth, inBloom!  Our childhoods sound so much alike, that the only thing that separates us is the fact we are about a generation apart.

Tenth, tie.  Just John - I want to see his network setup!  And Foreverserenity, I want some of her cookies!

And Honorable mentions:  Geez!  A ton!  Latour, to see the young idealist, Cacto to see what Latour will be in a few years. Parated He should be up there, but I ran out of space in the top 10, Tova, Another heroine of mine, Locamama, A strong woman, Stevendedalus, I want him to sign my copies of his book!, Lifehappens, She would have made the top 10 on my letchery alone before she cut her hair, Jill and Joe User - I would love to shake the hands of the people who allowed us this forum, LostinTexas - that man (and his wife) can spin yarns and I can listen to them all day!, San Chonino - The perfect student!  Bluedev - We can talk Basketball and my multi-colored anomoly (if you dont know that, read IG), Rightwinger, DJ - now Charles, Texas Wahine, Jennybean, and I know I am going to get flamed for missing some, but I am monopolizing your blog too much.

Thank you all!  It is a great site. (Oh, and Sally too!  And Sarah, and I do miss that One guy!............

Wow, where to start....

I don't know if I can keep my list down to just 10 people, but I'll try.

In no particular order, they would be:

Pseudosoldier.

JillUser (and her husband).  She and I also have a lot in common, and I think we'd do really well together!

ParaTed.  Ted has taught me about faith and the love that comes with faith...he's enlightened me in many ways and has really been mentor in things spiritual.

Little Whip and his Emp'ness

Karmagirl.

Modman and his Colleen

Dr Guy.

Tex and her crew.

Trudy.

Blue Dev and Forever Serenity and Inbloom and UDigIt and Shades and Greywar and DrMiler and Gideon and...man, there are just too many to mention.

LW had talked before about having a get together one year at a location that was geographically central to all of us.  I'm living in hope that one day, it will come to pass and I'll get to meet all of you.  Until then...well, I'd be happy meeting you one at a time, and you can bet that if I'm ever in Michinga or Wisconsin or Texas or Virginia or Hawaii you can bet I'll be giving one of my list a call.

Oh, and if anyone is ever in Illinois or close to St Louis, I'm always available for coffee and a chat! (Mason had a time crisis or else we'd have met when he delivered a fire truck here not too long ago)
