To all Thunderbird users....question?

Does anybody know how I can get Thunderbird to open to my "inbox"? When I open it right now, it opens to a blank page instead of the inbox like Outlook Express.

Help.....

Try going to Tools/Account Settings then select Server Settings on the left panel and then click the Advanced button. Put a check mark in Inbox for this server's account. Restart the mail program and this should work.

Hope this solves your problem.

re post #2...

you need to make sure that the "When Thunderbird Launches" box is unchecked

works with my thunderbird

also if you liked the contacts sidebar in OE, there is a nice extension that does the same thing in thunderbird Link

I really appreciate all of your efforts. Having said that...I still cannot get it to open to my "inbox".

By the way...I just downloaded that sidebar...I like it

ok, i think i know what you can do....

you have two options:

1. in the 'Account Settings' you need to have the 'Check for new messages at startup' enabled in the 'Server settings' and it should now open TB in the Inbox

if you do not want thunderbird to check for messages at startup, then use option 2.

2. you can download the folderpane extension from the following link that will do it for you Link

hope this works now

I was wondering about this myself, and it looked like the Folderpane extension worked. Thanks!
