My littlest girl was burned last week. We could use some good thoughts.

Looking good, Zubaz.....

Now, the trick is for EVERYONE to learn from this.

Burning/scalding is never a good thing....[except maybe the chops and snags on a barbie]...

WOW! She is so pretty. Great pic and looking good.

Zubaz... I've been dealing with personal struggles that at times are almost to much to bare. I've always had some sort of belief in God but not a true faith. For some time now I've been trying to build on that faith. Even though it was a personal choice to try and point my life in that direction, I've endured a pretty tough couple of years. Sep 10 2004 my stepfather shot himself in front of my mother and myself. For alot of people this would be enough to deny a belief in any sort of higher being. I chose instead to push forward with my quest for faith. Although Those terrible memorys are still fresh in my mind, and things still seem to be going down hill, I now have a powerful weapon. HOPE, If you have nothing else, kling to this one idea and you will make it through any obstical that may be in your future. I pray to God that your daughter comes through as strong as ever an that your family is blessed as you live on. You have a beautifull little girl and she will always be beautiful in one way or another. Peace to you and your family. Joshua.

Joshua, thank you for your kind words and prayer. I am reminded of a Sanskrit poem I heard in my youth and have carried with me for years:

Look well to this Day
for Yesterday is but a memory
and Tomorrow is only a vision
but Today IF LIVED WELL* makes
every yesterday a Memory of Happiness
and every tomorrow a Vision of Hope
LOOK WELL THEREFORE TO THIS DAY!

Good luck on your journey towards faith. I think that getting through difficult times when you know it's too much for you alone makes one aware that something is out there helping you out.

seldomseen, thank you for the email. There's a book or movie in some of those "other" stories.

All, hugs have been passed along. I'm sure she doesn't understand who they're from, but she digs hugs. Dr. appointment tomorrow; I'm guessing he'll tell us everything is fine. Thanks.

Wow incredible, the power of prayer is awesome. Zubaz me and my daughters have prayed for Miriam's recovery each night. We are glad to see how well she is doing. My youngest "Kit" at my side at the moment wants to know if there is anything she can do to help she is a sweetheart. God bless.

She looks so beautiful. She is recovering very fast and looks so happy. It is so nice to see the power of prayer at work. God Bless you and your wonderful family.

Thanks Mike. I didn't believe so much in prayer before this . . . but now . . . something bigger than her happened.

You can tell Kit that Miriam REALLY like single malt scotch; a list of her favorites can be provided on request. Seriously, thank her for me.

I've always been prone to call it Ressurection Day. It's a much better desciption with out all that "pagan" influence: http://tinyurl.com/jky2z

I also like the way look at me all funny.

Glad she's all right!
"Resurrection Day"...I'll try it on a priest and see what his feedback is...(lol)
[see: http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/05224d.htm for "Some Peculiar Easter Customs" ]
my kids are parochial-school guys, so they learn about all kinds of customs. This year they just want candy as usual. Had a g/f once who said she was a 'pagan'...never did find out what she meant but she didn't do Easter. Thanks for the wiki-link

All the best to you and your family, zubaz

Thanks Cindi. Yes he is.

After the Mother's day craziness I'll get another photo up. If you didn't know about the initial burn you might think she had a little rash or fell.

I think you all had something to do with it. I owe you all.

Well I may be a little late but I am very glad everything has worked out! We had a sorta similar incident with my little girl, she ran out behind the car while my wife was backing up and it knocked her down and . well the doctors said semi-crushed her, more or less just constricted her. She was two and had very bright red scratches and marks on her and big red splotches in her eyes, she had to wear this neck cone thing to keep her from moving around and she had this....really...really sad sounding whimper. 2 months later and it was all gone thankfully and now almost a year later she is completely unscarred and just as goofy as ever. So I can relate to you and whether it's god, fate or resilent little girls, I'm happy yours came out ok too.
