If you are a prayerful person, we could use some prayers

My littlest girl was burned last week. We could use some good thoughts.

What a beautiful little girl. I can't imagine what this must have been like to go through, sounds like she is doing great though.

Oh my god Zubaz! Bless her heart, she is beautiful! As a single parent myself my thoughts and prayers are with you I wish your entire family a speedy and complete recovery.

Zubaz, you have a very beautiful little girl. Me and my 3 daughters will have you and your daughter and family in our prayers each night.

Thank you all. We're amazed at how quickly she is healing. I'd like to think that you all are helping.

She's the fourth of four girls and we've been so lucky that none of the others had anything like this. And the doc doesn't think she'll even have scars.

I just wish there was something more I can do.

Blood and guts doesn't bother me, but when a child is involved it brings tears to my eyes.  I will keep her and your family in my prayers.

Awwwww.... she is gorgeous, and I bet that in a couple of years you won't even be able to tell it ever happened.
Best wishes.

Thanks 1nsomn1ac, Jafo, Mayham, Boxxi, and teriqw.

Miri seemed to have a pretty good night. We try to prop her up so she can't turn over on her face. But she's almost three and no amount of propping can stop a three-year-old.

I think she woke herself up once last night but the ibuprofin seems to be doing it's thing.

Again, thanks for all the thoughts and prayers. I think it matters.

Yes...she is a doll! And fear not Zubaz...kids are tough...she'll pull through just fine. By the expression on her face in some of the photos...she's handling it like a trooper! But you still hate to see them go through that.

Had something similar happen when I was a kid...accidently had a pot of hot tomato soup...right off the stove...poured over my arm as I was reaching across the table. Hurt like the dickens...but I think my mother was in more pain than me because she was the one that did the pouring. But I pulled through just fine and no telltale scars.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

I am probably closer friends with you all here than with most of my neighbors (although they have been great too). It's good to have your support. Thanks.

In ten years, all this will mean to her, is that daddy got her a nicer car than she expected. Right?

Had something similar happen when I was a kid

And look how you turned out.

a shocking & heartstopping incident to be sure Aaron....I am sure w aesthetic treatments currently available along w 'burn medicine', your little one should make a full & complete recovery, but I can only imagine the angst & worry you as a father would have...all the best to you & your loved ones during these extenuating circumstances

I might have been away a lot lately, but I was here long enough this time to let you know that your beautiful daughter is in my family's prayers.

I am very sorry to see this. I know first hand about fires. My parents house burned down with them, my brother and his family in it. I was glad to see her smiling already. Kids are very resilient. You can count on my prayers.

clwoods: I am so very sorry for your loss. Miriam's burns may be painful but they will heal and any scarring can be repaired. We consider ourselves very lucky/blessed that it was only as bad as it was. We (here at WC) are also lucky/blessed to have you here with us.

initiatedsean441, sandpiperw, Sembetu: Thank you for thinking of us. Susan (my wife) and I are pretty stressed. We probably hurt more than she does. We'll know more about scarring this Friday when we meet with the plastic surgeon. He saw her when she was super-swollen and couldn't tell us much then. -=sigh=-
