For years I have been telling myself I want more. Spiritually, I've yearned for the kind of faith that moves mountains. I've gone to numerous conferences and read tons of books, looking for the magic formula to make me passionate about God. Over time I've come to understand my problem lies not in a lack of desire, but in my obvious unbelief. So, what do I do? I sign u

I just love you Trin! Just make sure I'm still around when you decide to JUMP!
My little sister is going home . Of course I use the term home loosely, considering she has never experienced stability in all of her 18 years. After a year of living with a productive member of society, she is choosing to return to her parents. It is a choice she must make, and a choice she must live with. I am a mixture of emotions, fluctuatin
How long will you run? Do you think the soles of your shoes will eventually wear out? And what is it your actually running from? This I would like to know.
Thank you all for your input. I particularly enjoyed the map with Normal, Indiana. Is there anyone else out there with advice?
Hey, I'm just thanking you for some of the comments you've recently left on my blog. It's always good to hear someone enjoys your writing. Don't believe anyone; we all have blogging masks. We all have real life masks too. I know I'm gonna get totally bashed for saying that, but hey, look at me care. Trinitie
thanks for the input guys Trinitie
I'm not asking, "What is a healthy person" I'm asking "what is normal" big difference. Good idea Jeremy.
I have a counceling appointment on Wednesday, and my mission (should I choose to accept it) is to define the term "normal". Now, I know my councelor is making the point that there really is no definition, but I need something to tell her. I need to at least pretend like I've done some homework---some searching. Why is it that we can always see God's miracles in the lives of others, but recognizing His faithfulness in our own lives proves difficult? Tonight I heard the testimony of so many people who have experienced God's guidance during trying situations. There stories encouraged me,and reminded me I have a Savior who longs to control my chaotic life. Finding peac
A few weeks have passed since I last blogged. During this time, God has been agressively attempting to teach me His Truth. I feel overwhelmed by His goodness, yet I remain uncertain of His plan. I know He shows me unmerited favor, but it doesn't always look the way I expect it to. Accepting the will of Christ above my own desires will be the challenge of my life.
Trin, when you figure out how to love completely and unconditionally, let me in on your secret. MadPoet's advice holds great value. Please know that you have a sister who shares your struggle, and I am very grateful God brought us together to discover the similar truths of our own journeys.
What a brave soul you are! I figured I would comment since you mentioned people weren't stepping up to the plate with your articles lately. I was thinking this morning what a gifted, talented writer you are. My next thought was self-centered as usual, and I was envious of your ability. You know me. I'm just about average at everything, and I only dream of writing such wonderful things. Your poetry was perfect, and I thought your response to Imaginit wa
I went to an Al-anon meeting last night, and the topic was anger. It was interesting to hear all the stories about how people choose to deal with the frustrations of life. Near the end of the sharing time, I felt the need to impart a bit of wisdom I had learned during college, so I opened my mouth, and what came out surprised even me. I intended to talk abo
My lip is swollen the size of Texas. I woke up today, feeling the familiar pain of heat rising below the surface of my skin. This is not an unusual occurence. I get fever blisters at least once a month. I've done some research on this medical anomaly, and basically it's a whacked out form of herpes. They call it Simplex B, and it can be activated by the slightest change in your bodies' chemical
thanks for reading my stuff. I haven't been on here in awhile, and with Trin gone, I don't keep up. Give your grandma a call this week!
Nora came to visit me this week. She's my grandmother and my gaurdian. When I was two years old, she and my alcoholic grandfather got legal custody of my siblings and I. My biological parents were unfit, and the state had reason to believe we were better off with a relative. I tend to agree. My grandma is an amazing woman, and as I have spent time with her over the last few days, I realize more th
I wrote in my journal. I took a walk. I talked to God. The thoughts still resound in my head, wreaking havoc on my emotions. What do I do with these feelings? Where do I put them? A friend of mine would tell me to place the pain in my God box. I wish it were that simple. Part of me wants to talk it out. I want to tell someone. I want someone else to help carry my in

I'm a grown up. Adult responsibilities force me to be mature. Behaving appropriately Of course, I've always considered myself to be an old soul. Even as a chld, I was constantly worrying about adult affairs. Life was full of problems and it was my job to fix them. However, today I acted like a child. During a half day staff development , my collegues and I cut up and told jokes all afternoon. We did not follow instructions, and we s
Shery. Thanks for the suggestions. I am already involved in many of them. The awareness stage leaves me with more questions than answers.
Do you like who you are? If someone asked you how you feel about you, how would you answer? Do you really love the person living in your skin? What is your perception of yourself? And does it even matter? All of these questions leave me wondering if anyone truly appreciates who they are. Yesterday I was confronted with these issues, and when all was said and done, I realized I feel incomplete.
Corio Please share your experience. Perhaps there is a lesson I can learn.
dharmagrl "Always leave the door open" I like that. Sometimes we hear exactly what we need, when we need it. Thanks for replying.
Dan Your words are appreciated, and I tend to agree. It's just tough when your in the middle of the mess. Sometimes it's good to be reminded.
