I think the sidebar is a good idea but I am in agreement that it should contain some interesting as well as practical "gadgets" beside clocks and CPU meters. I have used the Desktop Sidebar from another company and enjoyed having it on my desktop. I also use some of Yahoo's gadgets and find some very useful. I guess you could call me a gadget freak but I hope that Microsoft comes up with some new and fun ideas for their sidebar. The screenshot of Vista
I agree with Larry, the Beta is great!I have used Firefox before and it is similar. The RSS feeds option is one of my favorite features. The "Phishing Filter " gives me added security and the interface is clean and eye-catching.A much improved Internet browser!
A terrific idea !It's funny because I was just searching for some WAV files online to change my welcome and exit sounds and only came up with two but the sound quality was really crappy.Am really looking forward to this Beta.
Great update!!!MUCH easier to use....
I was around when you guys lost one of your servers(one or two years ago) and I remember what a hassle it must have been for you then.Very relieved to hear you had backups. Gave me a BIG chill to think that ALL might have been lost;which is another compelling reason for others to support this site with subscriptions!Glad to be a part of the "solution"(by subscribing). <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Smile.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle"
Oh and I wanted to add that I'm also an Object Desktop subscriber, too. What a small price to pay for such a wide variety of apps and skins. Ok.I'm done blabbing!
I am very glad to be a subscriber to this TERRIFIC site and am sorry to see that more people out there do not care to subscribe.I love to skin my applications and I have learned so much in the past couple of years about graphics.I was just a "regular" visitor to this site in 2002 and I got hooked on it and soon realized that I could not continue to download skins and software all the time without paying for it WHICH WAS FINE WITH ME!!!, because subscri
I had the same problems as you did.I have a Dell Dimension 9100 with Radeon X 300 series and Intel Pentium D 2.80ghz; Logon Studio and Bootskin both reverted to the default Windows skins. The Vista skin i have from 'iyiniyin' was corrupted in the taskbar.Windows Explorer wanted to close because of protection against data execution.I am thinking that it is an nvidia problem ,too.Yhanks for the input.
Have similar problems as everyone else.Logon Studio will not work and the new Beta will not support the Vista blinds that I downloaded previously.looking forward to next improved version.
I am a subscriber and will continue to be because this is such a terrific site.Am also looking forward to the changes in the future.I have seen many changes and improvements over the past two years and it has been awesome! I hope that this subscription drive is successful.Stardock(and Wincustomize) provide so much skinning "joy" and talented creators that it would be a shame to lose this great site.Am I fawning and effusive? Yes, unashamedly so!!!! Br
Am very new to the skinning world so I can't express mhat I'd like in 'tech' talk, but I would like to see more weather functions on the weather widgets that are included in a desktop theme, more capabilities for RSS feeds that you can actually see,i.e.running ticker without having to click on button.More, More ANIMATIONS!
The weather this New Years Eve in the foothills of the Sierras of Northern Ca. has been VERY WINDY and RAINY!!!!We've also had a lot of snow higher up. Happy New Year Everyone!
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL IN THE SKINNING COMMUNITY!
Yes,you are terrific!this is an awesome site and I know you all have been working very hard to update it.Keep up the GREAT work!!!!
