Simple...People want more features running quickly at their fingertips...If you dont juice up the horspower it will run slower and seem like a crappy choice...It's only logical to have a high system requirment to support all the things that will have to be running in the background for better speed and launching time...Thi9nk how fast a 1gb 3Ghz HT proccesor starts up and loads apps....then try it on a 2Ghz P4 with 512...Not even comprable...So it shou

I smell a betamax 8 track flashback coming on...I was actually just a little one when the first 8 track and then Betamax format battles started.....Oh boy..Cant wait for this one to start...
Definatley hard to get a wall up here....But then again I have to say there is alot of CRAP in the wall gallery here that I have no clue how it made it in.......I rarely save walls from Wincust anymore...Although they do get some that are just freaking dope.....But yeah too many Terragen and abstract swirly crap for my taste.....
I have had one bad experience with "Subscription" based. I bought a pop up blocker called "Stopzilla", when you buy it it promises one free year of updates...But what they do not tell you anywere on the package is that once the 1 year is over, the software automatically locks itself and will not work when the year is up.....They informed me that is how subscriptions work...I told them well I use a lot of subscription software, and that they were the fi
Im so glad for you that she is doing very well.. I had the same thing happen to me when I was about her age, only it was a coffe mug full of instant lipton soup...It was no where near as much as she though...Ill keep you in my prayers too, and keep taking good care of it...Im pretty sure there will be no permanent physical scars...But it will be a little pink for a bit...Take care and keep safe..
I for one think that all these hacking contest are a great idea..It helps the developers of these OS to find the flaws and fix them...The truth is, neither OS is bullet proof...Till it is neither camp can claim JACK CRAP........These little hack test will eventually make it so difficult for even the super idiots out there remain safe from the Super hyper smart hackers. Discussing these flaws of both OS's help to create a better eEnvironment, which beni
Im not sure, but when ever I Radmin or Remote sdesktop I always get a weird 8 bit or 16 bit look....So I would asume since you are looking at a skin that would look invisible because its bit depth and per pixel blending will be affected on a large scale.and therefore would probably not show up, it should still be there, just not visible...can you click on the areas where the buttons should be and still get a proper response, or do they not work at all?
No Jafo, I do understand Subscriptions are just that...My whole issue is the fact that even the last 2 years has been that this site is for the most part slow, and errors out alot. I just have a resentment now with the fact that you seem to think I supported this site very little when In fact I had renewed my stardock account and am only downloading rarely on this site..If you check my downloads, you will see that I have only Dl'ed about 1 gig or 1000
Have you ever asked a dell employee about Alienware..They dont even know the company exsist, only a few at the top know they exsist...go figure..I talked to 3 diffrent dell employees today and not one of them knew about alienware, let alone that it was being aquired.
Seems my point is still valid 2 days later..the site is still slow and buggy, just the same as it was before when my subscription was current...Why renew if it wont make it better...I dont come to this site to benifit servers for games....But hey I should pay more for something and get less right...Im not short sighted as someone likes to claim..This slowness has been ongoing for quite some time..Somedays were better than others..but most weren't..That
woof..!!! and I thought I was offensive....gereat screen name bro...Got any white sheets to go with that???
Look here Brad..>Go check how much I have spent here on this site...You are running your mouth at this point..YES I Know who you are..But this site has been super slow for awhile....If now you are taking away from what I have paid for to take care of another project then you are ripping me off..I did subscribe to Wincustomize, I do have an OD Subscription current and have had one for several years now...Plus I have bought over 70 percent of all the add
Well I guess the galCivII is still more important,,,I guess all you skinners should find a new home....Since After all the subscription drives go to pay for more servers to have em taken up by gamers...But hey..thats still the reason I didnot renew my subscription a few months ago when it ran out...Ill keep my Stardock account paid, but Wincustomize can take it somewhere else...If we have to put up with timeouts why donate..after all if you have made s
I agree with the fact that the people you mention are definatley an Elite catagory...I have no prblems, but maybe a sub division of the contest could be split, between long time winners and fresh artist just getting good at it...Paul and Mike are so far ahead of the majority of skinners its like a nu
No seriously, it still loaded the same for me and I guess since I am not a loser gamer..(I have a real life) not an imaginary one online..I guess since games and the gamers are more important then us Who cares what we think....this is exactley the reason I did not renew my wincust subscription and I did renew my stardock OD account.....
although that tabbed feature will really be helpful for the software challenged people out there.I do think that is a big stepup to help the more advanced features really become more useful and enhance the end result of projects..
I must agree with the fisher price look, but the reason for that is 99% of Users cant even use there PC so It has to be super simple for all the stupid office people who cant even turn on there PC with out calling the IT dept...Unlike all us skinning artistic computer lovers we have here on this site.....Im sorry but Most people cant even handle pluging the mouse keyboard and a moniter in with out raising there bloodpressure. <img src="http://images3.s
http://www.deviantart.com/view/30078946/ I got one of those mini laptops last year..... Really hard to type on and very small with touchscreen...but it is neart to pull it out in public and watch everyone go Owwww, it is so small....Wow...but thats about all it is good for.
64 bit versions are a little tricky with SDC, Im not particular on the hows and whys, but I know some of the proggys won't work on the new 64 bit proccesors.
Well for one thing...NEVER EVER REPORT TO THE COMPANY THAT SOMEONE TRIED TO SPAM YOU. or PHISH for that matter...Even if you are smart enough to know what it is do not report it to the company, they will automatically assume you filled in all your personal data and have been compromised. I was smart enough to know about phishing, but when I reported a link to Amazon and to paypal on 2 seperate occasions they Dumped my accounts and I can now no longer u
My two cents on this is, that the moderators work really hard at trying to make the best wallpaper gallery on the net..But I do have to express, There are a lot of lame walls in the gallery, some just darn right ugly and useless...Im so sick of Terra Gen or Landscape walls, and alot of the "Dark art" or Evil art are pretty crappy too.For the most part I have found the largest part of my walls on DeviantArt and on smaller sites, like the people here men
I use Computer Associates...Mainly because it is Run By Microsoft, and therefore they have much more acces to source code that all the others do not have...Gives them a better edge, also you get a first year free, then it is 20 dollars a year afterwards...and I have been running it for about 1.5 years with no infections at all. mostly user friendly too. But Ive had complete data nightmares with both McAfee and Norton...So Im with Journeyman NightTrain
Yeah, boost your street credability with a link Brad.......
Cool, clock really, but Im a little scared to start installing all sorts of beta stuff just to try out your clock.....But it looks super tight.
I used to have this exact same problems with my Fujitsu C2210 lifebook, my problems stemmed from running a copy of Windows XP proffesional that was not legal...Perchance you are running an Updated copy of Windows?..All the things you mentioned I had problems with. Till I reformated and reinstalled my copy of XP home..Not saying you got a pirated copy of XP, but not updated will give you those issues. Now my machine runs just fine. Just need to have a s
