Don't want to do any spoilers so I can't really show off some of the other pages. But over the course of your adventure, you'll start picking up a lot of...stuff.
I like stuff, but...what about things ?

Okay. Thanks. I was curious about that for quite some time. Would I be right in assuming that the procedural-generation system will be available for the Adventure Studio? I notice that there is a Building Crafting feature; there doesn't seem to be a tons of parts--or weren't, the last time I checked--but it got me thinking: the one thing we never saw in SC2 was an inhabited planet. Even when we got to a homeworld, touching the planet brought us to a talk-screen
But even their Flak Cannons are a bit of a mystery.
Flak is from WWII, a kind of anti-aircraft fire; basically, a big ol' shell was fired into the air where it would explode, sending fragments of metal flying all over the place, almost like fireworks. The explosion wasn't meant to make the kill; it was the fragments that did the damage. Well, the Scryve Flak Guns basically do the same thing; if a ship gets too close, turn on the anti-spaceship guns and let the e
I regularly go with the Battlestar Galactica reboot analogy.
Don't even get me started. (I could have liked the reboot, except they decided to go dark. I HATE dark. My life is dark enough; my entertainment is supposed to be relief, a distraction. (I have other reasons, too, but that's the big one.)
In the case of Star Control, in my opinon, the story climaxed with SC2: Ur-Quan Masters much the same way Mass Effect climaxed with ME3. .

I still wanna know why Jeff has such a human-sounding name. (Yeah, I know; kinna missing the point of the post, but that's been buggin' me...) That said, yeah, SCO has been giving me a "cute" impression, but I was okay with it; Star Control has always had a kind of cartoonish look to it. I look at the Spathi, the Pkunk, the VUX, even the Shofixti (at least a little), and there is definitely a kind of goofy vibe. Not ever

See whether you can get any values on the rotation numbers that isn't the pre-programmed set. Every time you move the sliders, they go to exactly the same numbers, every time.
A simple arrow on the grid pointing which direction is forward.
A lot of us have asked for this. It'd be nice.
Also on the grid, mark the boundaries of a Large, Medium and Small ship size.
This is not necessary; the game will do it for you. I did a little experimenting: these are the exact

Ehh...I'm not sure I agree on that point. Before the internet was A Thing™ (and even for quite some time after), there were a lot of video games--one might even say the vast majority of video games up to this point in gaming history--that never had open betas, and I think it wouldn't be exaggerating to say that there were at least a few successful titles. Just sayin'.

It'd be nice, but...my guess is "never". Have to admit, Fleet Battles has gotten old for me, too, and I'm dying to play the full game, but I can't really see much of a difference between the full game and an exploration Beta. I mean, unless they took out all of the story and just let us go from system to system.

I haven't really been paying attention to this debacle for a few weeks, cuz...yikes. But I have to say that I like this. I mean, yeah...in my ideal world, SCO would have been a direct sequel to SC2, ignoring SC3. But whatever; SCO has grown on me. So what if these Melnorme aren't canon; li

Yeah, I wish they'd include some sort of X,Y,Z axes indicator, like in, say, 3DS MAX or something. Now, don't quote me, cuz it's been a while since I tried it, but if your ship is facing the wrong way when it gets in the arena, try this: go into Crafting, open up the ship. Now select the base object, the body on which everything else is built, and use one of the flip-axis options on it. I think--again, don't quote me--but I think the one you want is Flip-Y

Aww, heck...I'm on the Codex on Steam; if you wanna continue this there, I'm game. Or not; isn't a huge deal. Just a wonderin'.
