I too think the only trades permitted should be ones you have researched. But I would add a second condition to prevent overdoing it, namely, you can only trade with opponents who are friendly or warm. This would add an interesting strategic element to the game in terms of who you ally with and which ethics you choose.

Can Frogboy or anyone else give the exact rule for which ship in a fleet is attacked first? It can be relevant to fleet design. The manual states it will be the "most lethal and most vulnerable" ship but these terms are not sufficient without further explanation. The first refers presumably to highest Attack value, the latter to lowest HP. For example the criterion could be Attack/HP or any other number of arbitrary functions that could give quite diff
I find it hard to locate where my ship is on the minimap. Would it be possible to highlight the selected ship better? Perhaps a stronger blue line would help. It is often hard to see that fine blue line.
Where can I find my logistics limit for maximum fleet size? I have looked (almost) everywhere. I do see a 9% logistics figure under abilities, but that seems to be an improvement percent. Is that it?
OK. Where do I click to download? Don't see anything here or on the download page. What am I missing?
Many thanks , Governor. Changing the resolution allowed the introductory video to start , etc. It took you about five minutes to fighure it out Now I wonder why nobody at Stardock thought of that over the last 16 days. Thanks again.

I have submitted my debug.err file three times now, once on Frogboy's "getting started" thread Feb 25, on the TGN site a couple of days later and to Stardock Support. March 5. Nothing seems to elicit a response. I refer to my post "cannot start" for full information. It has something to do with my TGN serial number which the program cannot find?! For the record , here it is again for the FOURTH time. Debug Message: Version v1.0D-1 Digital: Bonus Pack last updated on: Fri
I cannot understand why I get no response from Stardock Support after sixteen days since I sent in my debug.err file. The program gives me a frozen black page upon "play". I have sent in the file two additional times, most recently on March 5. Is anyone reading this thread?
It is now 16 days without a response. My program will simply not play and never has. Is anyone monitoring this thread? I have sent in my debug.err file three times.
It is six days now with a program that will not start. Is anyone going to answer this request?
Frogboy,I DID supply all the information, including the debug.err file in my initial post in your own thread "getting the game running". For the record, you can have it again here. ebug Message: Version v1.0D-1 Digital: Bonus Pack last updated on: Fri Feb 24 12:35:33 2006 Debug Message: Could not find a TGN Serial No. Debug Message: *********DXDiag info follows.********* System Info Time: 2/25/2006, 12:49:53 DirectX Version
Supplementary information from Rojonia. Apparently the key error message in debug.err is "cannot find TGN serial number". Now I assume this is the serial number I received when I purchased by download. I have pasted this in and registered, but it doesn't work for me. Curiously, if I ask Stardock for my serial number, I get a mail with a new number every time, not the one I registered originally. Why? Is this normal? I have also tried pasting these new numbers i
I submitted this problem three days ago on the "getting running" thread along with my debug.err file, but have heard nothing in response. Nor can I see that anyone else has this problem. I simply get a frozen black screen when i hit the "play" button and have to use Task Manager to exit.. I have the same problem after installing the Feb. 24 patch. I am using 32-bit colour and have a state-of-the-art pc. Help! Rojonia
A supplement to my submission yesterday. I downloaded my serial number for Galciv2 in Stardock this morning as a check and discovered it was different from the one I was given when I downloaded the software yesterday. So I registered the new serial number and tried again. But I still get a black frozen screen when I hit "play". It may have something to do with my name not being recognized as an existing customer when I downloaded (so I was treated as a new customer), or maybe it has some conne
When I hit the play button, my screen goes black and freezes.
