(UPDATED) Well, I thought I fixed it by uninstalling and reinstalling, but it still seems to be leaking, whenever I open an application from a shortcut in OD+ the handles go up and no matter what I do they don't go down, that how I guess I got to 5,000 before. Frogboy, I would post this and all my info on the newsgroup, but I'm having difficulty getting to them, do you or anyone else have a recommendation of an easy to use (free) newsgroup program (I've tried Outlook and it messed up, a

Frogboy, never really thought about the handle thing so I checked, and guess what Object Dock plus (I'm running one tabbed dock with 9 tabs in it) is using the most on my system ... a whooping 5,173. The next highest was svchost at 1,835 and then we drop into below 1000 for everything else. This means with all my crap running I've got 18,339 handles. WOW I would have never guessed, nor looked if it wasn't for you. But anyway, any thoughts on why OD+ is using so many (maybe i

For all of those out there stating you've never seen someone pay for a beta, HA just ask Microsoft. Office 2003 Beta cost $20, I know because I paid for it. (they claimed it covered the price of the media and shipping, but $20 is a lot for just that), Anyway, if you don't want to buy the beta, don't...wait a few weeks or months for the final release and if you want buy it then. Brad and the rest opened it up now just so people can start experiencing it and give bugs and advice

Sept1mus, You're asking to have the docked tabs on the left and right align so they go up and down not the normal left and right, correct? If so temporarily undock it from the side so you have some room to work, then put your cursor on the edge of the dock, it will show you a resize mouse cursor just like any normal window. You can adjust the size of the edges and manually create one going up and down (or any shape you would like), then you can dock it it will be as it should.

nocool check Stardock central, it should be there as a separate app (if you have the "show pre-release versions" button checked. And Frogboy, I for one LOVE OD+ and am having a blast with it. I really can't wait for these new apps, any idea when ObjectBar 2 will be out? Anyway, keep up the awesome work.

After some well spent time working through this program, I have come to one solution. IT'S GREAT! I finally have a well organized desktop I can be proud of. Yes it has some issues, but I know Stardock and like all other apps they produce they constantly work to improve them (and remember people this is a BETA so it will not work right for everyone, the point is to let Stardock know so they know what needs fixing <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/smile.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absm

Thats's exactly why I was asking this guy SHOULD NOT have had my email to begin with and no matter why he is asking for this info, why ask normal people unless you're up to something. I still believe he has a different agenda, why not go to tech support, or just redownload if the email is true. Whatever the case these people need to follow the correct paths, and I want to know how he got a hold of my email (don't like it when I deliberatley hide it and still they find it who knows he

Herbzilla, that's what I thought as well (just didn't say it), but my biggest problem is that I've checked and my email address SHOULD NOT be accessible (deliberately) and I still got an email from whoever (who are now on my rejection list). Whoever is sending these email STOP, if you are trying to pirate the thing STOP and cough up the $15 (or $20) and give in. If it is for a technical reason (and I really don't see how) email tech support or post a news item through the n

Why are people asking for file size and crc#s (near the top mac man was asking). I got an email from someone I DONT KNOW (and they should not have access to my address) asking for this as well. I will not give it because I don't know why they even need it (unless they're up to no good). This is a strange request (especially from a normal citizen). Does this sound strange to anyone else or is it just me. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/surprised.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmid

Casalla, it's OK to want additional features, just make the request at the newsgroups (Frogboy posted it above) and maybe they will add it. Remeber this is a BETA and not eveything is working right yet and new features can (and based on Stardock's past probably will be) added with the initial release and sub releases there after. For instance on the Thursday posting comments, Frogboy said "Oh and we have a ton of new features that will be part of the 1.x product that will come out ove

Feature enhancement/request, on the Flyouts, allow users to customize mouse overs and clicks, for say by default on mouse over do Nothing, if left click browse with the another layer of flyout (like default now), or on right click open folder in normal explorer window. Maybe also only open in flyouts if less than X amount of files (I noticed this is a MAJOR problem with them), as mentioned above. I had the mistake of scrolling through the Control Panel and when I accidentally went

Frogboy, The flyout seems to be working on mine, but why can't you have flyouts on the "normal" non-tabbed docks (at least I don't have the option for one on mine), but again it seems to work fine on the tabbed docks for me. Also for bugs and stuff where do we send (just to Tech Support, or is there some type of message board or something)?

Hey and just for some comparison, people have been mentioning DragThing for MacOSX is similar to this. Well it is not similar in price, DragThing is $29. Still think $15 is too much for OD+, then look around and you'll see its the best price you can imagine.

Wow, some of you really don't understand business at all. About this choose your own subscriptions, yes its cool and everything...BUT... don't you realize you would have to be paying more in the end anyway. The point is ODNT is only $50 because Stardock knows that you won'e use EVERY last one of the programs. If they did they wouldn't offer it for this price, instead they'd make you buy each program separate. Add it up people, there is no way the ODNT right now is not the best deal you could

I'm sorry but I have to agree with what all Frogboy has said. And at least as far as I've been around I've always understood that Object Desktop covered a specific set of components. The website (on the Information tab) clearly states the components that are part of the subscription. About the "all updates and new programs added to it" quote, well, it answers its own question. New programs added to it would have included IconDeveloper, because it was specifically added to Object Desk
