Could this be used for .Net Framework applications? Could I use it for my .Net applications and give them the ability to use WB skins even if the user didn't have WB installed? What would happen if they did have WB istalled? Cool stuff..... :-)

Brad, You are correct. You can change the delay, but the shortest I could make it was about two seconds. Between the delay and the intrusive graphics, it just didn't work for my speed channel changing habits. ( I know, I have a problem... :) However, I did really like the rest of the interface. The Snapstream TV schedule is vastly superior to the ATI bundled Gemstar app. Another decent media front end is "my htpc" ( http://myhtpc.net/ ) It's too difficult/cumbersome for
I tried this and I really like the interface, but I had two major drawbacks with it. I'm a little ADD and a remote changing freak. I love to flip quickly through different channels. SnapStream is just way too slow and cumbersome for the avid channel changer. It took several seconds to change to a new channel and the fade in/out display thing was cool for the first few times but got extremely annoying very quick. I could not find a way to turn off the screen graphics. My other big drawback
Caffiend, Thank you for the tip. I never saw the option to turn off the time shifting. I was surprised at the poor video quality, especially since they are now supporting DivX codec. From reading the SnapStream forums it looked like it was an issue with the ATI drivers. I guess I'll have to try it again. Thanks!
I tried the SnapStream PVR and I was very disapointed with it. I really liked the interface, but the display and recording quality was totally unacceptable. I did change it to use the highest quality codecs, but it was still much worse than the other PVR packages I've tried. I have a ATI Radeon 9800 AIW and it doesn't seem to work real well with the Radeon cards. The other aspect that I didn't like was that it always has the stream caching on. In other words, if you don't use the PVR (pause
I was wondering what happend to this great program. Jorge, it would have been nice to see a post on your website about the status of the program. I paid for Version 3, but I didn't think it was ever going to be finished. I kinda felt like I was tricked into buying an incomplete program. I'm glad to see it is final now. What would be great would to be able to use WB skins with NextSt
One more suggestion, add a WinCustomize section for the stand alone DX exe progs. That way it would be easy to figure out if the object needs DX or not. Thanks!
This was an excellent choice. When I read that DX was going to be able to support exporting stand alone .Exe files I was really looking forward to it. However $499 was just too much to be able to send my friends a cool RSS feed object or send my mother a custom e-mail notification icon. I think $499 is a tremendous deal for a development platform like DX for a company. To be able to create an animated an
Hallelujah! Someone finally gets it. It's the simple economics of it. If there is enough value to being a customer, most people will chose that option. I can't even tell you how many times I rebuild my desktop and laptop(I'm a software developer), and I love the fact that re-loading everything from my ObjectDesktop Suite is so darn simple. Low cost + ease of use + frequent updates = many loyal custo
