This isn't a minigame at all, but I think if a planet is big enough, it would be kind of cool to have like caves that you can drop your lander into that pop it up at another cave as a shortcut. Can't we compromise? Does it have to be "seamless transitions or bust"? I think not. I think that the compromise could be streamed assets (as in streaming it through memory). Rather than waiting for the assets to completely load and THEN starting the planetary

The only thing I really dislike about the direction this discussion has gone is that there's a lot of assumptions being made about other peoples' opinions. Stop it. Give your own, and that's it.
I did some rereading of the update... The story, the characters, the exploration, Super Melee are all more important than planet exploration. But Planet exploration is the most expensive feature and the feature that we hope people will agree helps demonstrate that we didn’t just

That's not the vibe I got at all. I interpreted as a need for a restructuring of how it's being done. Removal is not on the table.
I wasn't a fan of SC2's planetary mini game at all, and There isn't enough that could be done to SCO to fix the problems with it with the limited budget and resource constraints. At what point do we just dump the Super Mario Galaxy approach and cut out this mini game altogether?
We don't. Ever. That is my limit, absolute heresy.

Pretty sure exploration isn't just about what kind of planets are out there, but what is on them. The moon is just a rock, yes, but it's our rock. Also it has robots on it. Sure, Mercury is pretty much like any planet in close proximity to their sun, but...OMG LOOK AT ALL OF THESE RADIOACTIVES. Pluto is just a boring little spec- ...what the hell is THAT doing there? See my point? Even within OUR OWN solar system in SC2, there was a reason to explore every planet, even tho

I mean, I think I get it - a play on the word "famished" and maybe they're even hungry all the time? But that raises the question - why would they name THEMSELVES based on a weird alternate spelling of an English word, a language they don't know and have n

I think you're putting more weight into this than is really due :P Though I suspect what you're trying to do will be more difficult than just removing some lines of code. You'll probably end up breaking a huuuuuuuge ton of shit in the process, just putting that out there. I'm not like...speaking from experience. Horrible, traumatic experience >_>;;

So a few thoughts (I'll likely add more in additional posts as it comes to me) Intro Theme I don't necessarily have a problem with the theme, but will we be getting this audio and the intro animatic (at least) synced up so we can see it in action? Human Theme If I didn't know any better, I'd say this was influenced by the Precursors remix

Actually, the Founder's program doesn't state that there will be a monthly update, just that we'll get in-depth, early access behind the scenes info periodically. Ideally, it's every month, but sometimes that's not the case. I'm pretty sure there was another month without an update (I'm drawing a blank, but I know it happened once or twice). We didn't pay for monthly updates, brotato. We paid to be first.

Or you could be patient and expect it late. Iirc, it was late last year too. Yeah, looking through my downloads, there was no December package, unless I'm missing one. Oh, wait, there was a background last year, but that was it. There doesn't necessarily need to be a download every month.
We're not interested in the tech. We're interested in the promised development process which we paid for and get subatomic snippets of. Sorry for being blunt, but the founder's program isn't living up to the promise in my eyes.
"We". Please, Hunam, speak for yourself. I'm interested in everything.
