I'd say it's a little hard on the eyes - the bright colours, that is. In addition it seems as thought you're going for a rippling effect, but perhaps you could make it either less abstract (water effects), or more abstract but less "busy."

I don't think people strive to be anonymous here. I think nicknames are just another way of expressing oneself. That being said allowing anyone to create a small "personal" page about his/herself is, as someone else said previously, a way of "bonding" or getting to know the other people who visit Wincustomize and are part of the community. I don't think it's necessary to provide storage for uploads. I think people should be able to create links to other sites or files if he/she so choos

I'm using version 0.92.123 of SD Central. My "Installed" column is version 3.97[b].025. My "Available" column for WB is just dashes. Going to Tools - Update Application Data does nothing to change this. I am both an ODNT and a WC subscriber, c242, if that's what you were implying.

...to continue from last post. Just tried to install the 3.99 WB version from CM, but could not. I received an error about having SD Central installed and to use it. To sum up: Those of us with SD Central and WB 4.0 beta are without WB 4.0 beta until the final release because 1) our version has expired, 2) we cannot get the update via SD Central and 3) we can d/l, but not install, the update via CM. I'll be sending an email to Stardock asking what can be done to resolv

I like this suite. However, I'm still a little disappointed with Pixtudio with respect to the PixOS suite. On the comments section of that suite's news entry, both Alexandrie and mormegil said they would be adding more items to it such as a WMP skin, icons and "DX stuff". Any chance of that happening, guys?

Not that I'm trying to call Pixtudio out or anything, but normally a skinner would have resonded to some of the comments made on this suite by now. Perhaps they're busy, but I'd just like to know their rebuttal on/opinions of our comments. Again, not trying to call anyone out - just curious what, if anything, Pixstudio intends to do to improve this premium suite. As I said in a post on this site before, we all get involved in politics at one time or another in our lives. I think this is

chuckyboy81070 - The first time you buy from BMT Micro, they may call to verify you're not submitting a fraudulent request. If you didn't give them your correct phone number (as I did, heh), they will email you. Don't worry, I haven't gotten telemarketing calls on my cell...yet.

I agree with the general comments that the suite rocks, but that there should be more to it. I willingly paid the 10 bucks, but then again I assumed that all of the basic icons would be covered. It would be great if you guys at Pixtudio could fill in some of the "gaps." I am glad there's a Logon included; that really adds to the whole "OS style suite" effect. Again, really nice suite - very clean.

Frogboy, you have shown that you are wise enough to see both sides of a conflict, yet you are realistic in knowing that, as with any conflict, there cannot always be a peaceful resolution. I'd like to just add a few thoughts of my own as well. Most people hate politics and the games that to along with them. Unfortunately, politics are a necessity. And with politics sometimes comes lies or half-truths. Everyone in politics tries (whether knowingly or unknowingly) to be a Spin Do

Anyone else notice that DragThing appears to looks a lot like WorkShelf from Winstep? I haven't downloaded it for my Mac just yet, but from the looks of it, the functionality and idea are along the same lines. I'm not saying they're stealing an idea, but it is a little role-reversal and I think it's great. There are a lot of apps out there for the Windows platform that emulate other OSes, primarily OS X; not too many that go the other way. I would say that Stardock does a great

If I'm not mistaken, it's plagiarism when you copy and paste something then don't give credit to the author of the written work. This article was written by Nate Mooks and can be found here: http://www.betanews.com/article.php3?sid=1035910803 Not saying Citizen LiLmEgZ97's is trying to take credit for the article, although the text above "October 29th, 2002, 12:00 PM" found at Betanews is missing from the text here. I'm just picking this article because I happen to hav

There are many writings in circulation that deal with the people, places and events of the various religions in which peoples believe. These writings have been interpreted by many over the years, but it's always up to each individual to choose with which interpretation he/she chooses to subscribe. Attacking Frogboy with your opinion on how well he interprets the poll and its results was unfair. Disagree with someone's interpretation, fine. But don't redicule that person just because you

If you just double-click the "CurXPTheme" files within the zip archive, it will install the theme and switch you to it. If you extract the file to C:\Program Files\CursorXP\Themes, which is the default directory, you can switch to it manually later. If you installed it somewhere else, extract accordingly. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle" ALT="Powered by SkinBrowser!"

They are shhweet suites. I don't intend on buying a Nintendo though so I won't have the opportunity to use them. I think an Xbox and PS2 is enough...hell, I don't even use them! Congrats Pixtudio and Stardock. Nice to see that good things do happen to good people.

Just an observation, but if there are other users out there like C²zero paying similar prices for computer hardware that C²zero paid for the SiS video card, then that may be why you cannot afford new hardware. This observation is not meant to be a slam on C²zero, but, folks, you may want to shop around or ask your "geek" friends about where to get hardware and software. Sixty-four (64) MB cards were going for as low as $200 last year at this time. With respect to my experience with OB

I'm with Mack/N.G.E. on the drone thing. Must...buy...something...stardock...today...fading...need...air... I've used a lot of shareware over the past several years, including ODNT from Stardock, and I must say no other company has provided better support or bang for my buck than Stardock. Their ODNT suite of products is truly one of a kind and worth every penny. The subscription service they're offering here is long over due. You don't have to run a website to know

What''s with the double quotes instead of single quotes guys? I''m not unedumacated; I know I didn''t type all those. Eh, there''s probabaly and article on WC.com that I''ve overlooked or something about it. Is it a problem with the SkinBrowser, Treetog? Do ya know? Oh, and not "work" but "worth" (in my previous post *wink*) . <A HREF="https://www.wincustomize.com/index.asp?Cmd=full&NewsI

Doris - ODNT stands for Object Desktop Network. You can read more about it at this link: https://www.stardock.com/products/odnt/ I''m on my second year''s subscription on the suite of products. I must say that it''s work the 50 bucks. I use WindowBlinds (WB), IconPackager (IP), ObjectBar (OB) and/or DesktopX (DX) every day, depending on the theme. The fact that I use WinStyles often is no-brainer as well; it''s so nice to click one button and have a completely revamped look

I'm on my second year of the OD subscription. In September I'll be renewing for a third. I find that almost all components of OD are useful. I use just about all of them; some more than others. What I do use every day are WB, OB and IP. When I'm feeling a little squirrely, I use DX. Point is, for the three components I use the heck out of, it would have been $55 buy them all separately, but OD is
