[e digicons]:D[/e] Thanks for the quick replys. The opening theme will not play from my mod folder. I wanted to keep the "OST - Sins of Humanity" as a seperate stackable mod as I have 4 soundtracks to pick from (like loading a new music cd). Will adding Entrechment Soundmusic.sounddata to the mod folder make it not stackable? eg loading my music onto your mod. Edit: I am guessing your replacing in the game folder and not

You shouldnt need to change the TEC 3 to have the song play during the menus. So having it play during the game shouldnt be an issue. ???
Yes I did that already, thanks. But why the hell do that and does the opening theme get used at all and is my TEC 3 going to play in game? Mine has a little speech that will not fit well in game play. BTW: These forum crashes are getting real old. Never ever seen such a poorly maintained forum. ME --->
So I just picked up Trinity and moved my music add-on to the Diplomacy mod folder and the opening theme played some other song. I looked through the original sound folder for Opening Theme and that was not it. Checked Entrenchment Sounds which has a new Opening Theme and that was not it either. Diplomacy has no added music. So I stared playing every song until I found what Diplomacy was playing in the main menu was TEC 3, <img src="http://www.moongamers.com/forum/public/style_
I would love to see this updated.
most on-line games are now like this. I recommend opening a hotmail account. I lost use of a game because I dropped my ISP and the email I used was no longer valid. So when I forgot the password I used, no email = no get password = no more play. Needless t say I WAS PISSED OFF.
Just picked up Trinity [e digicons]|-O[/e] The Trinity Sounds are done now. This pack will be able to go into any version of any mod folder or with Major's Release. Replaced links on Org. Post.
Thanks Major [e digicons][/e] I am testing your Op Mod now and cant wait to get back in my 5 star huge 10 players again. I have not upgraded the SoA mod yet (waiting on trinity in Canada) from 1.041 but I can redo your event sounds if needed although its probably better directly from original wav files if you still have them. I am new to ADrive as well so anyone DLing my files, please let me know what you think. Was not to crazy over the file factory 20 dow
Lets talk about sample rate and the Nyquist Theory . This theory is that the actual upper threshold of a piece of digital audio will top out at half the sample rate. So if you are recording at 44.1, the highest frequencies generated will be around 22kHz. That is 2khz higher than the typical human with excellent hearing can hear. From
Updated to Trinity 1104 event sounds 73 music tracks. The original Sound files were 216 MB. <img src="http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/sinsofaso
There are two things you should be concerned about when creating your audio files; those are sampling rate and bit rate. Sampling rate represents the sound frequency range. The higher sampling rate the file is, the wider the frequency range i
Sorry, never had issues with sound, but all the sounds I made from stereo wavs only played on 1 channel like in your mod. As soon as I converted to mono they were fine. I can see lowering the bitrate quality on the sounds helping and can batch convert anything you need to whatever format you like. SoaSE Default Sound Properties Average bitrate: 132 kbps Nominal bitrate: 128 kbps Max bitrate: 128 kbps M
I use goldwave to edit ogg files, but the SoA 2 mod had issues with sounds only coming out of one channel. So i stopped screwing with it.
Event sounds in mono but music can be stereo. I batch converted all my stereo wavs to mono oggs in a few minutes with WavePad trial version.

With valve games the lobby was upgraded to have the download link embeded in the map and the user could optionally download the map (with a warning) from that link into its proper Add-ons directory. With Command and Conquer, if I dowloaded a map, as soon as a friend joined my lobby, a small pop up asking "Get this Map" and I think it came directly from my computer. Either way was a great way and all Sins needs is a small patch to impliment either without dealing with testing 100s of maps for
My computer came with a partitioned hard drive. The small partition on mine carries windows backup install and factory settings.
I was thinking of making a movie for my upcoming Sins of Humanity mod. It will include 100s of real military missions radio chatter sound bytes. I have been collecting and editing these for some time and maybe now have enough to complete all the frigates, cruisers and strike craft (my favorites). Preview here . After weeks of searching I found another good alternative radio chat commands for the Capita
Dropbox must be running, check in your system tray. This the best for developers I found for sharing. The team leader should email a dropbox recommendation to there team, when a team member accepts and signs up the team leaders dropbox grows larger from 1 GB up to 10 GB. Team leader can share specific folders with team members or the hole team. Highly recommend for any mod team. The fastest way ever to share a screen shot in a chat. Heres a ss of the right click on a file in t
I used to use Mega Upload till they added the timer. Then I moved to ADrive which has a shorter timer and larger file capacity. My ADrive is almost like a wiki where me and a couple others share the account and password for easy sharing. No timer or ads if you sign up. Test the download with a small .wav file here if you like. For real quick sharing use DropBox. Any
Press PrtScr, Alt+Tab to desktop. Open almost any image editor and paste.
What do you use to record the screen. I tried a couple programs like Camtasia Studio but its a little choppy. Probably my system needs more ram or video. Great work. I might tone down the speech a bit and turn up the effects a little. Other than that great editing. [e digicons]k1[/e]
For audio to help a really minimal system, the best thing would be to just change most of them to simople tones to indicate the action. that might actually help a really slow comp but not as much fun.
Well I will never do work for a minimal system, more like the average gaming system.
