Would have been nice if the Star Control Bundle was like the Sins Gold Bundle and reduced it's price if you already owned items from it.
Will Stardock be helping Fred & Paul with distribution or will their parent company be doing that? If Activision aren't involved and it's their own project they have been given the green light on couldn't they go to anyone for help or is it a tricky subject?
Neither, Activision-Blizzard are only allowing Paul and Fred to work on it in their free time and without the assistance of a publisher.

Hello. You might want to go through the files in the Founder's Vault and join the Discord server , Frogboy sometimes posts new info there.

Not all the aliens in SC1/2 were "gritty", certainly not the Melnorme, Pkunk and Zoq-Fot-Pik. The ones I considered scary were the Kohr-Ah, for their skull pit, the Dnyarri, for their psychic abilities that could rob you of your will and the Orz, for their otherworldliness. And even with these it wasn't because of their looks. And not all aliens have to be frightening in SCO, that job falls to the Scryve, Phamysht and Xraki. One problem I can see is that in SC2 the first
So this week the Steam page for SCO will go live, that means the discussion board will also be up. Undoubtedly there will be lots of people with questions so I thought it would be best to make a list of what can and can't mentioned outside the Founders' program.
More subtle references might work, like they already have an Ur Quan and Spathi ship hanging in one of the scenes they posted recently. The one your list made me think of was what I call a "bank-shot" reference, two combined. Somewhere in the game a character could say "Orz's is da' bestest" in a bank-shot reference to both Star Control and Warcraft. Haha, I love it!
These are mostly design
There is a difference between art style and character design. Most of the posts in this thread deal with the latter. Here is a character drawn in multiple styles. And reactions I have seen on the Internet have also dealt more with character design, most focusing on the human commander. Personally I think the art style for SCO is good and while some of the designs might need some work t
Origins is in a different universe than the one from the Ur-Quan conflict, so the aliens from the classic games will not be in it. But I thought it would be neat if there were references or easter eggs about the classic aliens that tries to explain why they are missing. Most I imagine might have been destroyed by the Scryve. Here are my ideas: Androsynth In Origins humanity went with robots instead of clones so their absence is easily explained, but

So far, nothing big, except naming an in-game star. Lifetime founders will get all content released for Origins, DLC, expansions, etc. While regular founders only get the DLC released in the first year after release. So far there are hints that the ships from the classic SC games will be released as DLC, as well as an idea for the first expansion titled Eternal & Infinite . For an idea of what else to

In my experience hard core fans are usually the least understanding people. The problem is not the name for SC3, the problem is the name for the SC1&2 bundle. If someone were to google Ur-Quan Masters <a href="https://www.google.ro/search?client=opera&hs=VLn&q=Star+Control%3A+The+Ur-Quan+Masters&oq=Star+Control%3A+The+Ur-Quan+Masters&gs_l=psy-ab.3..0i22i30k1j0i22i10i30k1j0i22i30k1j0i22i10i30k1j0i22i30k1l6.240895.240895.0.241812.1.1.0.0.0.0.108.108.0j1.1.0....0...1.
Here's an off the wall idea for a story in the Ur-Quan universe. A prequel set before SC1 where you play as the...UR-QUAN. This would probably work best with the Kzer-Za, since the Kohr-Ah would just exterminate everything in their path. It takes place after the first Doctrinal Conflict and the Kzer-Za and Kohr-Ah went their separate ways. The Kzer-Za have traveled to a new area in order to imprison alien civilizations under slave shields and you are the lord in charge of the operatio
Wasn't Origins conceived as an answer to the SC3 dilemma? Origins expands upon the concept of multiple universes and alternate dimensions that were touched upon in SC classics. These are universes/dimensions we know about: SC1/2 - Ur-Quan Conflict SC3 - Crux Hegemony Origins - Scryve Empire Where the Arilou came from Where the Orz comes from Linking all these together is QuasiSpace and the Precursors.

Something occurred to me. You are planning on selling Star Control 1/2 under the name Star Control: The Ur-Quan Masters, this might cause confusion and people would assume it is the fan made remake. I propose the name be changed to something like Star Control: The Ur-Quan Chronicles or Star Control: Famous Battles of the Ur-Quan Conflict, as a homage to Star Control 1's title. If it is not too late to do this.
Since this is under NDA, what are allowed to tell people outside the Founders' program? Can we mention that legally Stardock owns the rights to the lore? Or that Paul and Fred are payed a royalty for the classic SC games? Mention that you have had talks with Paul and Fred? That last one might get them in trouble with Activision.
