If I try it as a widget, It freeze while updating. Is there anything that could be blocking its access to the net? I know, an obvious question, but I've accidently blocked my widgets from net access a few times <BR

Provided the aformentioned developer purchases DX Pro, how many small time artists/coders are going to splash out $499 just so that he or she can distribute standalone mini-apps?
I don't think that's entirely giving DX the credit it deserves though... DX can be so much more than just another "Widget runner", which in my opinion is all that Konfabulator or Avedesk are. With DX, you can build an entire replacement desktop environment, (think kiosk mode, or s "focused shell" environment for internet cafe's,
And lets not forget that Konfab widgets tend to be more useful than the DX ones. I spent a good deal of time browsing the Konfab library yesterday and found a number of cool widgets that I would want to use, such as parcel tracking, world clock, site ping, site status, traffic camera images, memory/cpu meters that also display the process that is taking up the largest amount of resources, etc. For the most part, DX widgets are variations on weather che

If it doesn't pick up by then, then by all means, send it into oblivion, but it hasn't been around that long yet to warrant its removal, imo. I'd be worried it would discourage those that are submitting their first skin. I think the issue here is not someone uploading their first skin, but rather some people constantly uploading skins of very low quality in large quantities, something that's reminiscent of mass production, rather than a work

It stopped being friendly when I became a mod over there Alas that was back in the days of the "old" custo, with glen and Cy, before the dark times, before chunkymunky (or whatever the hell that thing was called). Haven't been back there since, it doesn't have the community spirit any more.
