Yes truly. Between humanlings and work (my façade until my earth domination plans unfold) it's been hard to get some time to join MP crowd. I'll try to get my elbows greased for that.
He is grumpy because Seleucia smuggled some pudding into his noob pie. He is higly allergic. He has been sitting on the white throne for several days since then, with a bucket on his front. Stuff comes out down and up. While sitting, he also played through the entire iOS and Android angry birdsies, tiny wingsies and is now contemplating buying a Playbook on craiglist looking for more casual games. Poor Mecha is almost worthy of pity. Almost.
My Titan was happily leveleing up on a different gravwell.
What about making SB upgrades cost fleet supply for all factions? Then you give TEC and Advent upgrades which give a -1/-2 fleet cost per upgrade. TEC Loyalists could get a -3 fleet per upgrade since they can have 2 SBs per gravwell. Consider this table, with each upgrade costing more fleet than the previous: <td width="219"
I had a large fleet of capital ships. Once I told them to jump to another gravwell, they merrily decided to either move or teleport to a location between two planets, around 120 degrees off of the direction of the planet. initially I thought they just disappeared, but they were still taking up ship slots and showing up in the planet gravity well. There is something wonky with the path-finding for sure.
I am the only one voting for time travel so far. 1) Phase experiments with time travel cause a rift in the fabric of our universe, creating an energy leak which will cause it to prematurely die. 2) In the distant future, all three races unite to attempt to create a multiversal phase lane to flee to another universe. 3) They united too late, the energy leak sapped too much energy already, phase lane cannot be activated. 4) Backwards time-travel is no

Problem to me is that once researched, it is too much of a sudden jump to late game tech. You unlock the full tech tree far too easily. I actually don't think that 4 cap ships providing 16 labs is OP at late game. Problem is getting to it too easy, too soon. A completely different approach is to cap the number of labs on ships, and gradually lift the number with later techs. Assume a beeline tech where each tech requires the previous level and each has 2 levels.</p

And that Vasari females, when they breed, their, erm, organ actually chops out and swallows that male's appendage? A very painful bite from a different mouth. Since the Vasari regenerate, it grows back eventually. Not recommended for humans though. Watch out.

There really isn't any good way to nerf shipboard labs with out making them completely nonviable.
While there is the research required to enable the ship labs, they come in for free on each capital ship built. It's the TAV - Tec-Advent-Vasari Coalition. In the future, near the end of the universe (dying of old age - or perhaps a phase 'energy leak' is sapping it?) they were trying to open a humongous phase gate to jump to another universe, but found out they would no longer be able to harness enough energy, because it was too spread out in our universe. Because they fought for too long before they joined their forces to flee from a dying universe. They then settled for t
I think to reduce the overpoweredness of ship labs, the following should take place once the tech is researched: 1) 1st level of tech should give weapons labs, 2nd level should give imperial labs. 2) On each tech level research, the following would also occur: a ) Labs of that type would be disabled, to have no effect on tech tree. This should be a permanent, uncounterable, undisablable effect. b ) Labs wo
One problem is that it has an absolute point-of-reference. So, when there are ships jumping, an extra group is created, offsetting everything downwards. When the group arrives, everything shifts upwards, and sometimes downwards agains when ships are (re)grouped inside the arrival planet. If the point-of-reference were to be made relative to the player's view, specifically the planet vertical span where the mouse lies in, it would stop bobbing up and down and let the player
Converting the jumping ability into an upgrade option - like the 2nd level upgrade after phase gate - is enough to limit its proliferation mid-game due to economic constraints, but in MP a vasari player may be eco fed and this limit be lifted. Late game though, a large empire would not have a problem building lots of these. The fleet supply has a purpose: to limit the offensive power into a defined envelope. Without a fleet cost, the Orky upsets the balance to 'limitless' heig
Yes, yessssss, of cooooursseee. Empire Tree jumping up and down is uber annoying and a usability-destroying nightmare.
The problem I see with the suggestion is that it doesn't "tone down" the jumping Orky, it virtually removes it as a viable option, especially on small fleet games, and to a lesser extent normal fleet games.
That's why I suggested 1 captain + 50 fleet as a balancing factor for the jumping Orky. You are basically trading a capital ship for something much more powerful, able to face several of them (capitals) at once.

@redskittlesonly: Try to convince the devs to make the 'loading' splash screen a dynamic image. just overlay a 'loading' message over an image, make both do a very slow panning to give it some movement. let the images either auto-download from the internet, and/or from a folder on disk. Leverage the fan art on the loading screen!
