First of all, kudos to all beta testers, they did fabulous work for the game i am sure and deserve respect and reward, great. Second, kudos to
In regards to this "Street Date"... Anyboy who looked anywhere would have known about the date being the 14th all other sites that sell the game say the 14th. Anybody who knows video games knows the MAJORITY of games are released on a Tuesday, this is exasperated by the fact that Gamestop SELLS VIDEO GAMES. They of all people including people who work there should have thought somethign when the game came in for the first time... I in my little knowledge of world know these few facts.
I've played a few games with QoT and she seemed ok...At least on SP Hard mode I did fine. Only issues I felt were slightly annoying were there was no indicator of how many of your minions were alive... I felt I had to keep clicking the summon button for the minions to see if I would get a full army message, and with the Shamblers you didn't get this message and basically could just keep summoning and if you couldn't see how many you had, you just clicked it twice to get the full 4. I could type a plethora witty replys... But, I won't. The only thing I will say is... Basing your information off a forum post by an anonymous person claiming to be a manager of a Gamestop store is gullible to an extreme. And even so if this person was a manager... You do realize, that is like the 3rd lowest in the totem pole of heirarchy as it relates to something of this type of problem to go in effect, one manager of some local store with branches nationally knows about as

Not sure if this is exactly you're problem... But not a lot of people have the game currently as it's not supposed to be released til Tuesday. I've seen a grand total of 2 games in the custom game list. Most of the time it's empty, also if you're searching for a game since there really isn't a lot of people that too could be why. If that isn't what you're talking about then sorry... http://forums.demigodthegame.com/345345 Here's a sticky post on connectivity, if
Think I'm in your boat... When I went to create my account, apparently my email had an existing account from I can't even remember when, and now when I play multiplayer I'm stuck with my stupid name, I woulda created another account just so I could have a more appropiate name, I think it's an AIM name from like college some 6 or 7 years ago. Makes me feel pathetic... And I don't think I can create another account for a different name since you have to plug ur CD key upon creating it..
Since I'm having a hard time finding detailed info about it besides the more or less cut and dry basic details... I have another question about Pantheon :( So thinking multiplayer would not work being as the true date has not arrived... I just on whim picked Light side and Regulus, well after getting a few games and what not against I think mostly AI (although did play with a real person once). So I wasn't aware that you can't change sides, with that bei
Oh ok, thanks for the quick reply Kryo.
I've played countless games where they have a forum, and I must say i've never seen the type of support here(especially on Easter weekend). This nice to see in this age of bang out a product, make a quick buck, and forget about support(companies will remain nameless but everyone knows who). [e digicons][/e]
Shut down the piracy sites. There are many high profile piracy sites, such as the Pirate Bay. The government can shut down these sites. In fact, the Russian government is doing that, so why cant the U.S. follow suit. These sites are illegal, so the government should shut them down. Doing this would be like hitting piracy in the nuts. With a golf club. Plus, with less piracy, publishers wouldn't have to punish legitimate custormers with crap D
I have no clue how to or have the knowledge about any of this... But something that would make me smile would be a just a countdown timer in the spell bar. I don't know why... But that caster timer reminds me of Quartz from WoW(the antichrist of video games) and I'm so used to seeing a timer in a cast bar.
Simeple facts are GameStop requested to sell it early meaning that they KNEW and respected the street date, even if the boxes came in unmarked there should've been a flag and memo about them in the system (I used to work for a GameStop store, I know how they work Avalon, quit acting special because you have a job any 16 year old who can write can get). However, the boxes come in unmarked, there is no streetdate listing and there are no mark
Quoting Frogboy, reply 20 The packaging boxes that Demigod comes in has a big red sticker that says not to put it on sale until the 14th. I assure you, Frog, that no such sticker was in place on your game. I was the one who processed the incoming shipment of Demigod at my store.
Thing was at my Gamestop they said they only got 3 copies... Since they said if no one preorders at the store, they still get shipped a fe
Yes. Uneven teams is by design. It looks at the rankings of the player. For instance, 1 player might be put against 3 "easy" AI. We've found that people have more fun playing against "the odds" even if the odds are technically even.
That seems sorta tough for those holding the flags type games... I had one vs 3ai earlier, thankfully they weren't smart and ony held one flag while I held 2.
I would buy it digitally it I had a credit card . I prefer a boxed product anyway. I rarely buy games because of the markup I have to face, but I think Demigod will be worth it.
You can buy prepaid cards... Basically just like a Visa, but you can put a certain amount of money on it or buy in certain increments. But I also have no clue where you live or if they sell those around there :(
This game is running extremely smooth for me... They did a very good job, imo. Q9450 @ 2.66(stock) Radeon 4870(stock) 4gb @ 1066 Vista 64bit Home Premium 1680x1050 I've only got the slightest hiccup when I get a huge cluster **** near a citadel when all the reinforcements converge, but I think that's sorta related to my sound card because it get's all staticy and farts then I get a 2 sec stutter, it's very rare but seen it a few t
Thanks for all the replys... Especially since this is a few days early then it's supposed to be AND Easter weekened.
I saw a note on the readme... Saying to start Demigod, load it from the Start Menu or using Impulse(actually just said start menu, but it worked for me from Impulse too). I never tried using the shortcut on desktop(it didn't auto make one or "ask to option" anyways), or the .exe file from the main folder. Not sure if that's what you did... But I do remember seeing that, I think it was in the Readme.
Ok. Your Elo points are for instance 1000. If they did not resetted the stats yet, the AI has maybe 300, because the beta testers were fighting against it the past months. Demigod now tries to make the game even, by looking at the ratings. So your team has 1000, one enemy 300. You will be matched up against 3 or 4 AIs: 1000 vs 900/1200. Edit: Ok, then I mi
Ahh, makes sense... Thing that really confused me was the searching for the game that took a few minutes with "probable" matchups popping and then going back to searching(making me think firewall or couldn't p2p connect). Gave me the feel of I was actually being matched up with people. I wasn't aware that multiplayer matched you up with CPU players, I woulda figured that's what SP Skirmishes were for. I guess I just don't have the information how Pantheon works
Thanks for the reply... Sort of makes sense I think. Although the way one game was played it made me feel like they were human. Although I don't know how to check their pings(never thought about that). Oddly their names seemed like a human would pick. Also the way it went down was... I clicked Pantheon, it started searching for a game, a few "probable" matchups game up, then vanished went back to search, til eventually a game popped. And I didn't own everything
Was planning on picking the game up on Tuesday when it was released, but on a whim I stopped by the local Gamestop so see what time they'd get the game in. Noticed they had a copy sitting on the corner counter, so said hell with it, picked it up brought it to the register figuring they'd tell me they couldn't sell it til Tuesday(it's happened before with a nameless game). So when they swiped my card I was a little shocked. Anyhoo, figured I wouldn't be able to do anything multiplayer
