sigh this is turning into another one of those "pirates are mean evil thieves who steal from others" i find this 10 day thing to be retarded. What if you travel around a lot and you don't have internet?? What about those people who aren't very good with computers, thier firewall or router wont allow it to connect to the internet and they will have no idea what to do about it. tired of hearing people spamming pirates are to blame when people get turned away from buying thier pro
I find that adding +2 to speed before starting the game helps out a lot in conquering enemy planets. Your fleets move much faster, and if you h ave a planet close to thiers it makes it easy for transports to reach thier destination as well. Then as thier planets fall you get stronger since your you keep getting thier techs. After conquering a few planets id open up a dialogue with them and just give them 1 of thier planets back for the peace treaty. Just Repeat process
I don't know how you can rate gear of wars storyline higher than starcraft. Some monsters who live underground want to kill all humans doesn't really go that far.
Although i prefer the gfx of sc1 over sc2 (from what i have seen so far) I am sure blizzard will make a great game since they don't release bad games. They dropped starcraft ghost after spending money on it since they don't like to release bad games is a good example of that. Its not it wouldn't have sold since there are so many fanatics (my self included) that would buy it on the release date since its blizzard. Battlenet is also pretty good. There are so many different var
On topic, I feel the point about targetting an audience that can afford your product is well made, and that providing free fixes and patches goes a long way towards reducing piracy (particularly for MP).
agreed with free fixes and patches another problem now days is that they wont include everything in the game from the start example: new halo 3 maps, extra mods for oblivion. They want you to pay even more money just so you can use more features that should have
it would be an interesting event if one of the minor races makes a huge break through in science and moves up to compete with all the bigger races in the galaxy.
1. You're hardly alone in not being able to afford everything, or to get burned buying crap. I can't, and I have been burned. So what? Grow up - risk is part of life. Do a bit of research before you buy stuff and you won't get burned as often.
Why should I risk my money on something that might not give me hours of enjoyment?? Its just about being smart to avoid being stuck with something that would gather dust on the shelves I do research on the game when I downlo
WIllythemailboy
HeroOfSorts - here's hoping you get caught soon, so you can try this defense in court.
Willy unless you tell me that you have always obeyed the law to the letter, you don't have rights to tell anyone to get caught. I am pretty sure at some point in your life you must have went over the speed limit while driving (yes going 3 miles over the speed limit is still breaking it), littered in streets, or something else. on to my random rant 1
gonna revive an old topic since i was searching for things about stealing techs in gal civ 2 and found this so i will add my thoughts to the list people who say stealing copy righted things are bad I agree, IN THEORY! (im bad at english just to let you know) How many times have you went to the theaters for a movie that just came out only to find out the movie you watched was absolute garbage?? What about companies that rob you by making great marketing tricks??<br
