Can the developers make a rule in the game where if you accidentally (or not) disconnect you get a loss ? Seems like that would solve a lot of the problem. I don't play Sins online yet, but I have played online games for years. Like the above poster said, this is a problem in many games. Of course if you disconnect from a bug in the program (as seems to be happening) you would get a loss and nobody would want that, but still everyone has the same problem over time so it should even o

1 most people play 1p games or local network 2 alot of people have trouble programming their vcr, let alone port forwarding to host a game. 3 when you log on to the ico chatroom and see peehead or whoever coming out of a game saying ... those f'ing noobs can't play for shit, what a bunch of losers, why the hell can't anyone pull their heads out of their asses and play right... it is a little discouraging 4 you got off work at 6, ate dinner, it's 7, yo gotta get to bed
ps. what is your ic name that you use?who me?I use "the Monk" (one space)
sorry, no, I've talked to you online before, but the op isn't registered as prophet_fire or "prophet fire" I tried to add each as friend to invite them to a game just to see if they happened to be trying to join unjoinable games (there are sure a bunch of them)
don't think that is what they are saying tho, they are saying that even if you started a game, that they would not be able to join it.. ps. what is your ic name that you use?
if this fixes the mini-dumps i will stop bitching and start playing hich will make me happy ( just long enough for me to complain about needing faster gamplay ranks, and better school lunch)
they never claimed that it will fix all minidumps, only the ones associated with the synch bug issue.. if your hardware is substandard, or your drivers are out of date, or you are trying to run it under a windows simulator on a commodore 64, or with a bunch of radical mods, or ummm et
did any of you e-mail the minidump files to stardock so they can analyze your issue and maybe come up with a solution? or were you under the impression that minidump was a type of error that would by and of itself tell anyone what was wrong?
Figured I'd throw this into the mix: I turned off the 'automatic reboot' option in Windows for any crashes to see if I could get some more info on this rebooting issue. Now when I have the problem, I get a BSOD with 'KMIXER.SYS' as the problem file.Again, this ONLY happens when I HOST a game. It'll happen immediately or within 5 minutes of starting the match. If I join a game, I still have the horrid minidumps, but no rebooting problems.I've updated and downgraded sound drivers, ethe
bah.. ra is easy enough to defeat on many levels.. typical ra will have many many frigates and carriers all of which are not upgraded.. just have a better fleet.. they depend on having t8 social development.. wipe out their research stations, and ra stops working.. develop many planet buster cannons, tec can 2 shot a planet into oblivion ;P see the articles on advent guardians.. who cares how big their fleet is, 6 advent ships can lock them all in one grav well indefinitely while the rest of
very few what are you talking about go and talk to people in the main lobby and ask them if they have had the mini dump 85% = will tell you that they have
wth are you trying to say? is english your primary language? who are you talking to or about? did you go to the lobby and ask if 85% of the people were having the minidump for to crash them into the stop playing so they can not get to go to the finish go to the library and ask and 85% of the peole will say they have sto
stardock should make a version or patch of the game that would turn off the mini dump notification, so that all the people who are complaining that the minidump is causing them problems can fix their minidumps.. the game will still crash, but then maybe they could get past the minidump issue to realize that their equipment/drivers/mods/viruses/other running programs might be to blame alternately, ironclad could take the microsoft approach, and when it crashes, just collect whatever info they
I have sent emails to stardock and all I get back is some snot nosed drivel about user name/password/correct code. I didn't spend $49 for a game that can't be upgraded.
so, you sent them an e-mail and they asked you for your name, password, and the serial number on the box? that doesn't seem unreasonable to me.. I guess you know better than them how to solve it tho with your anger and insults rather than information and cooperation.. ps did you read any of the other p
to select your carriers.. hold down alt, then click one of them, either on the board or in the fleet display(it selects them all). Then rightclick the edge of the gravity well , next, while holding the shift key, click a circle around the gravity well about 5 times and about 5 or 6 points on the edge for each circle.. that'll get your carriers flying in a circle around the edge, and make them a little less of a sitting duck for everyone to pop, after all, no carriers, no strikecraft :P next,
works for single player.. for multi player you can change all the speeds under options but not during the game.. also, the pause/break button in the upper right corner of most keyboards will pause the game (10x in multiplayer)
star to star phase link lines with solar gravity wells that contain several planets of interest each so you fly from star to star, not planet to planet. (see stellar conquest)
whats your graphics card, proccesor, and can you tell me what FFA stand for in the maps that are labled 2v2, 3v3, 5v5 then FFA
I would certainly take advice from someone who doesn't know what Free For All stands for ;P
So? Halve the range, and double the bounce, that way they still throw the enemies all over the place, but they have to get within average weapons range to do so.. maybe make them bounce incoming missiles too ;P
LRM's don't outrange repel in 1.04, I believe.Now that would be a serious problem.
I R teh greatest strategy in the universe, build whole fleet of lrm, destroy everything, me best, huh?
Next point.. why is there a stop button if the ships just ignore it, and why do the ships select the platform guns randomly instead of closest next? it is very frustrating to watch your fleet run through 8 turrets to kill one on the far side, then run back through them to get to the one by where they started :S If I hit stop, I expect the ships to stop and sit there, if I hit shift stop, I expect them to move to where I had sent them, and then to stop.. oh, ps if I have lrms al
Processor: Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 2.66GHz Memory: 1022MB RAM
fail how slow does the program run for you?
double post to bump ;P Just thought of something else.. and this is a biggie.. Why not have xp for all ships, not just cap ships, so you could have some pilots be better than others, the in game effect would be to make them a little more accurate, and harder to hit, so they do a little more damage/take a little less damage.. also, I played as vasari yesterday, and turned the t6 ability on the cap ship(carrier) on to duplicate frigate, and at first it did nothing, becasue t
For a bit, some stores were selling the game for 30 instead of 40, but if they sold the download for 30, then no store would be able to sell the game for 40.. on one hand they could theoretically sell the game for whatever they sell it to the distributors for, on the other hand, then noone would put their game in a box and sell it for them.. quite the dilemma, huh?
I thought you were leaving this thread. Take your idiocy elsewhere. Nobody cares what ridiculous shit you're spewing.
The minute you start your post off with insults and cussing, it invalidates any other points you may or may not be trying to make because it immediately puts a label of arrogant individual onto you..
Second point: I couldn't see how this wouldn't really reduce their effectiveness. Strikecraft require a pretty big run range to attack with - if they start jostling all over the map to avoid incoming flak and stuff, it could really slow down the number of attacks they get on, say, a fleet that is trying to warp out.
I apologize, I guess I was unclear, I wouldn't have the strikecraft circle, but rather the helpless carriers.. edit:ps. someone earlier mentioned som
Does it not post on the official reader till it gets a reply, or does it have to be approved by someone to assure that it doesn't get filled up with spam or cussing? does a self bump overcome this?
Did you put it in a cd rom drive or a dvd drive?
