I'm having a problem getting the SHODAN race to work in Metaverse (although it seems to work fine when I'm not on the metaverse). When I try to initiate a game with the SDN as a character it tells me that the game is invalid. If I take that character out of the game and replace it with another I'm fine. I'm using GCII - DA. Any thoughts? Thanks.
Often people post their complaints when something goes wrong but seldom thanks when things go right. I recently ordered DA - download with the CD. When it hadn't arrived after three weeks I checked my order and much to my dismay I had given the wrong address on the order. I sent an e-mail off to Stardock Customer Service with the problem and received a response within a few hours. About four days later my CD arrived! So, thanks for the assist and fast response!!!
Here's something I'd really like to see - letting people with the exact same Mods compete in the Metaverse with those Mods. So, if two or more people want to use, say the B5 mod to play in the metaverse, that should be okay since they're not going to have any particular advantage or disadvantage using the same mod. Just a thought. Mel
Having been an avid Stars! player as well as Alpha Centauri, I have to agree, somewhat. I was looking around for an alternative to ACII and Stars!, esp. when the Stars! upgrade never happened. I found a review of GC in an issue of SciFi magazine last year - which was the first time I'd ever heard of GC. So, I bought it and was pleasantly surprised at how rich and diverse the game is. As a Father's Day/birthday present to myself, I bought the DA expansion pack. I love it, but I actually coul
My job occasionally requires me to travel to really out of the way spots where there is absolutely nothing to do for days on end. Alpha Centauri was one of my constant companions on trips like these and helped me through many arduous plane trips and boring nights in dinky little motel rooms. I'm glad to add GalCiv 2 to my laptop as relief for the monotony. I'm looking forward to the DA expansion pack too.
I'm actually new to DL, having played Alpha Centauri and its "expansion pack" for many years. Frankly, I think that there will probably be many people still playing DL once DA is released since that seemed to be the case with Alpha Centauri. Although I plan on buying DA once its released, I'm still learning the game so I don't know how DA will affect the overall gameplay of DL.
