well in Star Wars time is measured in parsecs .. you know not everything makes sense
*nerd mode enguage* The Kessel Run involves flying very very close to a cluster of black holes, so to make the run in under 12 parsecs it means that you have found a shorter route between the starting point and the safe point of the run. *nerd mode enter standby* Just some sort of ground emplacement or support bui

Is there an option to tell the non fenced desktop to stay visable by default? If not i suggest you add an option that allows the user to have the normal unfenced desktop space remain visible. Cool toy (insert evil laugh, #984389732072369-28703272174.7425654 here "now i finally have a way to keep my desktop clean but keep the my computer and networking stuff on it since i hate the needing to use the start bar to access them") -Gabe, who sti

Such a tool would make it so non-programmer types like myself could do this type of work as well, i really do enjoy the features of the GalCiv2 program and was just the other day wishing i could design ships without needing to load up the full program and do all the research to get to a full featured parrts list. -Gabe

Ever since John Engler left office in 2002, we have had a single state freefall. (as he left us on the edge of a clift and Bush gave us a little push.) At this point new jobs, to point out new jobs that require college degrees and are in something other than our traditional auto industry is a good deal. Also any new job has an affect on other jobs that is another X0,000 to be earned in the state every year. It is the perfect time to move to Michigan, to start so

When i buy a stardock game i do so knowing that i am supporting fellow Michiganders, when i think about the fact that Stardock is in my local district. Quite honestly i like Michigan weather anything south of Toledo is do bloody hot. to be fair i should mention i'm a member of the democratic party. -Gabe, MI-11 Canton 9th

i just got the 22" ACER one i'm using, so no changes there, i also wanted to sync res with my laptop. and as far as gpu, i like nvidia, as a linux dabbler i know that they have better cross platform driver support, not to mention i've used nvidia since the mx 2 i had in my 98se box (still used for classic games) even my laptop has a 7600 in it. -Gabe

For the last 5 years my loyal desktop has served me well but sadly nothing lasts forever Her specs: Ruriruri Intel P4 Prescott 2.4ghz, Geforce fx 5500, 2 gig ddr ram, 150 gig raptor, and win 2k. will soon be fully replaced with Ruriruri II AMD Phenom II 3.0ghz, Geforce GTX 260, 4 gig DDR2 ram, 320 gig hd, and for now Win XP32 When i get a 64 bit os i'll use it, and also go to 8 gigs ram and pick up a V-raptor for boot.

okay corrections then, +2 more to the Advent's starting for their bases. Sure upgrade their range as long as when maxed their range is still shorter than maxed range for other force's starbases. And to Viramor I wasn't suggenting offensively droping mines i was suggesting that mines cause eachother to go pop, like in the old old game VGA Planets. -Gabe

I agree that starbased under default range should beable to hit at least 25% the grav well i mean when i place one new a jump point i'd like the foe to get hit by it a few times before fleeing. -Gabe
Jafo puts in a Xmas request...... Sigh....this P4 with AGP is feeling as old as I am....
I know it it feels, with the P4+AGP My laptop is a more modern K8 based system with a Geforce 7, but she needs to go into the shop this week so for the next 2-3 weeks i'm without a modern system. I was bothered that i have to send my laptop off on the 21st so would only get a few days of a system that can handel it. (my poor tower only has a Geforce 5) So it sounds like i'll get my laptop back around the time the beta goes up. thanks for making sure the game is solid. i'm betting that the reason for the delay is the delayed cycle on 1.1....... -Gabe

I looked over the cap-ship thread and a few semi-related ideas, came to mind, since they aren't directly related to cap-ship design i felt a new thread would be smarter. Idea 1. Give ships an escort lock command, which would order a ship to watch over their target, protect it, heal it or otherwise keep an eye on it. Idea 2. If LRM fire has become a problem, then i suggest giving the Antifighter ships an upgrade that reduces the damage of missile f

Just one comment i don't care if Stardock remains Windows only, even if i will one day move to linux, i just hope stardock never goes out of their way to break a game's ability to work in a program like WINE. If i want to torment myself to get a game working in WINE i'd hope that the company doesn't put up roadblocks just to force me to use windows XYZ. (odds are i'll never get windows beyond XP64) -G
