the reason why you can't have more then one of the same kind of pacts is because when you have the pact, you BOTH get the benefit of the pact. If you had the same pact with 2 or more people, you would get a bonus for every pact you would have, in your case 3 friends, YOU would have 3 PACT Bonuses from the same pact. The same could be said if you were playing with NPCs against your friends, you could ally 3 NPCs and have pacts with them getting triple bonuses and completely

Well it depends on who is first in the select group and who is the actual fleet commander. The issue comes into place when you select a ship that is NOT FLEET ACTUAL, IE. the ship with the command logo above them. The problem is when you hit 1, you select someone else, and when you hit create fleet to add ship into it, you designate them a NEW fleet. Make sure you click the fleet commander and set him as Select Group commander, just him, the beauty of this is that when

I was playing an old game of unreal the other day and it occurred to me that should be a new menu in Sins. a series of switches much like the victory conditions or the game options list where you can turn things on or off. I don't know what you could call it but it would allow a game hoster to tweak the game in some interesting ways -Superweapons On/Limited/Off (I think there is a global limit of 3 super weapons now, so limited would be 1.) -Titans On/Off

what about maps made with the new map editor that comes with rebellion, My friends and I are having an issue getting a map to load into SINS, no run time errors or crashes, it just doesn't show up in the map list. -Æ

You guys should remedy that for your older customers.
oh god no, if anything I can't wait till Stardock has Sins and its expansions on SDC so I can get rid of using steam for SINS. I think SINS get screwed up by the steamworks overlay. Several times now I've had SINS crash right after the steam overlay does -Æ

OH.....YEAH......... Edit:
Already own a copy of Rebellion? Don’t worry, there will be no need to re-purchase the game. We are setting up special upgrade pricing for you. Be looking for a mailer from us, letting you know when this is available for purchase.
This is why I absolutely LOVE StarDock over other devs and publishers, you guys are just awesome. -AE

as long as eventually Sins and GalCiv 2 will eventually be on SDC I don't care how long it takes, I loved the old SDC, it was simple, easy and user friendly, and didnt try to sell me something every 5 minutes. edit: i have stardock only games, and i want to be able to download them from stardock again. -Æ
Quoting Teun-A-Roonius, reply 1You should probably invest in a processor with a lot of Ghz' on each core. It will help more than buying a new video card. This. It's a single threaded game, CPU single core speed is king. That said, what you want to play is going to lag no matter what hardware you throw at it if the game goes on long enough. The engine simply can't handle it anymore.
<

The question you asked OP, is a bit of an oxymoron a Railgun IS a Gauss Gun, so it cannot be OR. I think your refering to a COILGUN which is also a Gauss Gun. Carl Friedrich Gauss formulated the mathematical descriptions of the magnetic effect used by magnetic accelerators, So weapons such as this using his designs are called "Gauss" Guns Coilguns use a series of coils to fire a ferromagnetic projectile out of a tube

I think the pirates should be programmed to behave as pirates are supposed to and not behave like mercenaries. For Ex. You contact the pirates and offer them a huge sum of cash to attack a weak player. The pirates would then take your money, and then figure, since you have the extra cash to try and buy them off they just decide to attack you instead and steal YOUR stuff. or. You pay off the pirates, and they use that money to make a whole bunch of ships,

this isnt a bug, you have always been able to prequeue construction of ships for the incoming supply and/or capital crews. however the actual construction doesn't begin till the supplies or crews arrive. The idea is that you can queue, while the supplies are being brought up from your planets, and or crews being brought up to your capital vessels. -AE
