Quoting MarvinKosh, reply 185Yes, you get a dialogue asking for assistance, if you don't then your alliance (with the race being warred upon) is off. Been a while since I saw it though. I've never seen this - if one of my allies declares war on the other, I can stay completely out of it (although if the victim is Super Organizer I still get asked for help). Maybe things worked this way in GalCiv I?
It

I'm currently preparing for a re-installation of my system, so modding is on hold. After that is done, and the research part of my mod is back on track, I'm going to do an exhaustive (immense size, all abundant, tight clusters) test game. AI vs AI tests are fine for quickly tweaking the research pattern for the AI.

The number of minor races is pretty much unlimited. The number of major races can't be changed, as far as I know. I never tried that myself, however, so don't take my word for it. It is definitely possible to give each minor it's own tech tree. You just need to change the line from MinorRace_TechTree to the name of your new tech tree. The minors have, however, a few problems. Recent discoveries showed, that 1) they only have access to Super Projects, but not to Galactic

AIP 7, which is used by the Drengin, Yor and Korath, and AIP 10, which is used by the Torians and Iconians, are considered broken. AIP 7 doesn&#

I have to agree with Qrtxian. This is a great AAR, but it clearly shows an imbalance in your mod. But I'm sure, you will iron this out eventually. BTW, have you considered using multiple pre-reqs for techs? It may not look pretty to have a tech shown two, three or more times in the tech tree, but it works.

Tech Trading allows you and the AI to buy and sell techs. You can re-sell any techs you bought, too. The AI is doing that constantly. This is called Tech-Bartering (or Tech-Brokering). If you disable it, you and the AI can no longer re-sell techs. Only researched techs can then be sold. Oh, and welcome! Better late, than never. [e digicons];)[/e]

It's been a while since I played the campaign, but the standard starting treasury has been set to 3000BC in TotA. I gave several minors access to different tech trees, for testing purposes. Akilians got the Thalan tech tree, the Carinoids the Iconian one, the Paulos the Arcean tech tree, the Letzlandians the Altarian one, the Dark Yor the one of the Yor and the Snathi the Drengin one.
