Thanks Kryo.I was using High Resolution Graphic by LogicSequence which has its own raceconfig.xml so modifying it, negative modifiers appears now.
marioflag
Kryo what do you mean for named fileds and ABILITYN fields? In Raceconfig.xml i see only all these fields economics, research sensors and so on which correspond to base natural abilities of every race. I have tried for example to give Korx instead of +15% economy, +25% economy in game but there wasn't any change to Korx base economy ability which remained at 15%. What i have done was just changing the value in to Korx in Raceconfig.xml from 15 to 25.What am i doing wron
Actually it seems that you can not give negative modifiers to civs. I have given "-20" "-10" in raceconfig abilities but races don't get any penalty.
For "most" you mean all abilities which have a percentage? So the only excluded are Sensors,Logistics,Speed and Range?
But Kryo for the example in the case of Korx how High Defection Rate is translated in game? Does Korx planets flip easier than other races planets, so instead of 4x foreign influence to flip, less is needed?
Altarians is depicted as Good research skills weak military.go in raceconfig.xml Iconians are really a mistery they now have weak research skills and only good espionage.I wonder what are the real effects in game.
Some races have a description of their best and worst ability. For example Korx: strong economy- high defection rate Korath:Strong Military- Weak Diplomacy Altarians Strong Research skills- weak military and so on Does they have any effect in game or these description are just here without any effect in game? For example Korx haven't any modifier toward loyalty, Altarians don't have any modifier toward weapons, hit points or military prodution, Korath no effect in diploma
I'm really enjoying race personalization which is possible in DA, so i wonder if I can give every race some negative ability modifiers. For example if i want to give -20% diplomacy, -20% military production can i do it in race config?
I would love a size which is between large and huge.Large seems to me the best setting to enjoy the game, but larger maps whil become overwhelming are also very fun.
What kind of glitches are you talking about Marioflag? Anything specific? Logic Sequence probably my graphic corruption was due to overheating because now i'm not able to reproduce it, i'm noticing that with the mod my audio is stuttering a lot more than before but it's already known that it is due to anti-aliasing (which i have maxed at 6x) and also in this case it should happen because your mod needs greater graphic requirements, so all
Well i manged to install the mod i have noticed anyway grasphic glitches as soon as i switched graphic options as suggested in the readme. My specs: AMD 3500+ X800 XT 2GB RAM
Yes Drengin i have double clicked on the exe file but i don't see any High Resolution Pack mod.The only trhing i'm not surre is if i did rightr installing the mod in the default folder
Hi LogicSequence i don't know if i have done something wrong during installation but i'm not able to load the mod. I installed the file.exe in TotalGaming/GC2/Dark Avatar, after i followed the instructions in the readme, but in mods folder there is no High Resoultion Pack i have just Default and Example. What have i done wrong? Thanks
I'm a person which likes a lot descriptions or just flavour features. What I would like to know is if i'm the only one which feel the lack of a good historical background about races; what I mean is for example we know Torians were slaves of Drengin or Drath lost their home planet to Altarians but in game there isn't any "historical background" document about races. Don't you think that an extensive description about history of every race, description of some major events for example (Ic
The Good -New Weapon System seems a lot better than before -Super Ability give finally every race more personality -Spore Ships are a lot of fun! -Better Graphics for ships! -Better customization of races -Unique Hull for every race. This add a lot of uniqueness to every race. -Tons of options before making a new game -New diplomacy treaties -Mega Events and new events added The Bad - Tech tree
Is it a mega-event? Edit:Already answered
I don't know if Enhanced Economic Activity is a Mega Event or not but i find this event too much overpowered.Since i got DA in all my games i got this event and i always go from -20 or -100 bc to +300 or +600 bc. I don't know if there is also a "Economic Activity worsened", but aren't these effects too much exxagerated? In my last game that event lasted for a lot of turns and i went from a struggling economy at 1500bc to 32000bc, no need to explain effect on game. If the effects ar
(Never played DA yet, getting it tommorow though ) From what I hear, it seems a little too powerful to completely wipe out a planet. My opinion is that it should be changed to something less powerful but still useful, maybe like poisoning the planet, and instead of killing off the entire population, kill off a percent each turn for a certa
Korx get all trade techs, unlike this early good advantage they never research Galactic Privateer and Galactic Bazaar which are really fit for Korx abilities. I have played 3 games and Korx was never able to build one of these wonders also when i had already researched Photon torpedoes Tech which are mid game techs, despite they could be able to build both of them since turn 1.
Spore is supposed to be the Korath's super ability. If you nerf it too much w/ cost or prerequisites, it'll no longer be super. It's supposed to be powerful, just like the others' super abilities. Like if you spore the Altarians, you are now at war with every good civilization in the game. I do think the AI could improve Spore defense to be more human-like, but the AI *does* already create defenders with 0 weapons, even in DA Gold. I'm dealing with that right
My main gripe about tech tree are the description of technologies which are funny yes but are not fit for the atmosphere of this game.Science fiction description would have been a lot better for game enjoyment.
I would like to know your experience playing s Terrans and Tech Trade Off. I had always played with tech trade off in GC2 but now i'm afraid to play with this feature turned off considering that Terrans have Super Diplomat ability. I would like to know if playing with Tech Trade Off with Terran Alliance you have found them a lot nerfed or Super Diplomat ability isn't nerfed at all (you can ally easier, get Economic and Research Treaties easier)
An empty hull is no deterrent to spore rushing, and many users complained about the AI doing it to begin with (thinking it was a bug that the AI deployed unarmed defenders), so the AI no longer does it. I can have armed spore ships with 4 or 5 speed ready to go around the 12th week of the game anyway, so it doesn't make much difference--unless they have armed ships in time they can't stop it. IMO at this point the best solution isn't to make A
What diffiuclty and map size are you playing on? If you play on smaller maps, the AI can't really do anything about a spore rush no matter how high it is set (the case is same in pretty much any game where rushing is possible). I'm playing on a Large Map at Tough Difficulty.
AI seems a lot better but one of the weakness which was in GC2 is still here.At the beginning AI doesn't build any military it is too focused on expansion.AI also doesn't know how to defend from Spore Ships so if you play as Korath it's a cakewalk
