New Multiplayer system While Sins of a Solar Empire will continue to have a spectacular single player experience (the AI has gotten a lot of attention), the multiplayer experience has gotten a lot of attention. We’ll be talking a lot more about this in the comin gweeks.
The gweeks are comin the gweeks are comin! ;) Sorry, I could not resist.

Just because the game uses the same engine does no mean it is an expansion. Morrowind and Oblivion used the same engine. In fact, Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas used the same engine as Morrowind. Are you telling me Oblivion is an expansion of Morrowind? I am just trying to understand your logic.

Civ V is fun, but the end game is BORING!! I get to the point that all I am doing is plowing through turns to finish the space race. Hurry and build the parts. I got bored with Civ V quickly. I have been playing Fallout: New Vegas for the time being. I have completed that game once, about 75% done with my second play through so I hope EWoM 1.1 will be out soon. I have very little left to play and I have been itching for more EWoM! I am glad it is Thursday. I just hope the beta is released soo

I played Elemental when it was released (I played some of the beta as well, but only a few games. AI was missing so the game was too easy for my tastes). The game has a TON of potential. It is currently a shell of the game it will be. I have seen the way Stardock develops games. I own Gal Civ 2 since beta. I have every expansion, also part of each expan. beta, and I know they listen to the players. In the end, you have a rock solid game with years of entertainment. I stopped playing E

Gal Civ and Elemental have a lot of game play that feel the same. If you enjoyed the gameplay and game style of the Gal Civ games, you will enjoy Elemental.

During the beta I married my wife while I was away from the city. I was out adventuring. Later, much to my surprise, I was notified my wife had a baby! Yeah for me!.... wait.... I have been away adventuring and I have been no where near my wife. How did she have a baby while I was away?! I shall hunt down the scoundrel who did this and remove him from the world. Was it you?! - Dave

I remember reading a post by Brad that said the boxed version were sent to the shipping location and they started shipping. I think it was Monday they started shipping. They sent it priority USPS mail which takes 2-3 days. You should have it soon I assume. I am still waiting for mine but my mail does not come until late in the day so it could still show up today. - Dave

Are you sure about this Spooky? I thought I read from a dev that stardock hosted servers will only support 16 players and private servers can have up to 32 players.

When I load my campaign saved game, a caravan will get "stuck" and makes the unit selection noise. It will do this over and over again, each time running a turn. I am unable to do anything but watch the caravan select itself over and over. There are 2 caravans facing each other going through the pass. I think they are fighting over who needs to back up first. Sheesh! Those caravan drivers! I like watching the gildar and population raising so you can leave that part in ;) debug.err
ha ha i love this thread, really gives you some insight to the nature of humans. i think some psychology researchers should do an experiment with this. make a website about a new and amazing game that everybody is dying to play and keep on delaying it, but at the same time keep people right on the edge like its about to release at any time. catalog all the different personalty types.
LOL. They did. It was calle

This is not too much of an issue and could easily be added later. It would be nice to be able to mouse over a saved game and see more info about the game. # of players, turn #, Maybe sovereign name, gold, materials. You get the idea. I see my saved games list being rather large. It would be nice to see a general bit of info about the game without having to load the saved game to see what is what. Just a thought. What do you guys think? </

I watched a video with Brad on G4 earlier today. In the video, Brad stated that Stardock will NOT be releasing a new game next year. They will be spending all of their time on Elemental. Even though I had already ordered the limited edition (And the novel by Brad), I would have bought the game right there. You can find the video here... http://g4tv.com/videos/48042/Elemental-War-of-Magic-Interview/?quality=hd The part I am talking about it around 4:10.

This is funny. I too live in Utah. I have the game installed on 2 machines, my gaming machine and my laptop. When I run the game on my game machine, it works just fine with no error. When I run it on my laptop, it will tell me I need impulse running EVERY TIME. If I run the game with Impulse, the game runs just fine. elemental.exe fixes this problem. However, on my desktop, I never get this message. One thing I am curious about... Gothmogg, Are you connected with a wire
