dont mean to rain on the parade but thats the way it works here at wincustomize. It popular concensus, thats y theres sites like deviant art, wallpapers here are meant to compliment the skins on the site not be the main ideaa of the site. if it can go with skins then its good in my opinion Thats my 2 cents, and may i mid u i am a wallpaper author

im a wallaper maker trying to switch over to skinning, its hard to do, walls are somewhat easy, skins are really tuff. but over the last year or so i have been seeing the number of wallpapers go up i first remmeber when this site first reached 1000 walls. Im a wallpapare maker and nothing agaist any other wall makers but i respect skinners more u guys do more work.

hiya, i use Corel Bryce for most of my wallpapers its kinda expensive, but worth it once u learn the tricks of it, you can save things to jpg with the quality of a bmp, jpg is image compression, u can turn the compression quality up and down in photoshop somewhere, (don ask me where i use fireworks) And for personal tips, just start simple learn what styles u like and work from there. i run a windows system at home but im always spending my time on the macs at school, linux is fast and in my opion more stable the windows, each has there own puprose Customization - Windoze graphic design - MacOS Server structure - Linux Choose your poison =D

im still running off my 700mhz laptop i got 4 years ago, its a littel slow from the out dated video card(8mb) but it gets the job done, well to a degree =D
