Hi I'm having the same problem as uglycow, the game freezes and I have to use task-manager to get out of the game and then back into the game where upon the game unfreezes. One interesting thing that I've noticed is that when I've used TM to get out of the game, Vista displays an error message that the display drivers had temporally stopped working and that they are ok now. Next time I encounter that message I'll write it down word for word and post it here. My system specs are, <b

But you DID stop, and you posted here..... I am disappointed in you... Aye only because it was getting late and my wife was nagging me to shut the computer down and get some sleep <br
I couldn't wait to get into the game. Everything worked perfectly, no bugs, crashes etc. The game looks and plays wonderfully. Congrats to the devs for a job well done. I couldn't stop playing the game. Can't wait to see how the game improves and develops
One thing which would be nice to have is some kinda of victory point / galatic conquest indicater to show how close you are to winning the game. Other then that I'm loving the game
Cool can't wait for the 27th to come around
Ah this is cool, can't wait for the beta.
I preorder, by last count that makes me #24 however I think a saw a couple of numbers being doubled up so I may not be. *grins* oh well
*chuckles* As a wise person once said, "It will be out when it's out". As an even wiser person once said "I want it now!"
Aye this is the month I've been waiting for, the chance to finally get to see Sins Of a Solar Empire in action. Knowing my luck they'll drag out the launching the beta until the last day of Feb. (Only kidding.. please don't do that, pretty please )
You set it for each mission, and trust me there are times where you will bless Stardock for that
As the title says, I've just completed the first two missons of the campaign. Intial throughts is WOW this game rocks. Congrats Stardock on once again creating such an enjoyable game. Whilst I think of it, Mission two took me a bit to figure out how to complete it. I can sum up beating mission two in one word. "Fleets" Until I learnt how to build and use fleets the Drengin were wiping the floor with me. Whilst I think of it, ther
Congrats on your game win I won my first game too, and my second, however the Drengins outdid me on the third. Oh well live and learn
Well you're entitled to your opinion, but then you know what they say, opinions are like noses, everyone's got one Personally I think Stardock central is great. Like Frogboy says, basically it's a download manager, however it also can achieve your game so you can burn it to CD and back it up as well as connect you to the games forums. Still if
Speaking as an ex-Aussie (I'm a Kiwi now), I can honestly say that the solution to your problem is to order the game directly from Stardock via "www.totalgaming.net". You can download it on release day and if you want the box, CD's etc you can request for them to ship it to you and provided you provide the cost for shipping, they will! Problem solved.
Thanks Chipperoo, Look forward to chatting with you some more at the Core :)
Hi All, Well after some time off I've once more been drawn back to Gal Civ. Of course I'm having to relearn how to beat the game, but thats part of the fun. :)
Raven here, Living in New Zealand, patiantly awaiting the GalCiv 2 beta to be released.
You know I think people should just calm down a bit. We are just under a week until September, lets wait until then before complaining that there is no September game. After all it's not like there's a game shortage on TGN and there could be any number of reasons why Stardock hasn't responded to the forum posts. Two likely reasons come to mind (I say likely because I don't work at Stardock and can only speculate), 1. They are busy. 2. They want to
Hey that Jagged Alliance Ultimate Edition sounds like a great idea. Here's hoping that Strat First will go for it.
Thanks Newfy ~SDC~
Hi this is a plea for help. I've managed to beat the game up to beginner difficulty. For some reason once I started playing this difficulty the A.I became a whole lot more aggressive. It also seems to be able to tech faster to capital ships whilst having a stronger econ. Any help/advice would be warmly appreicated.
Thanks CariElf, Will do so :-) ~SDC~
I've been ruined as well, and TGN rocks, Basegolf is amusing, PM is great, Disciples II is wonderful and O.R.B rocks :D
Hey Weyrleader, Sorry to here PM isn't working on your computer. I hope you get a fix for it soon because this is one cool game. Seeing how this thread was about thoughts on PM I figured I'd give my five cents worth (we don't have two cents down here in N.Z :p ) I have to admit that initally I didn't think I'd like this game, one because I live in New Zealand which is about as far away from the USA as you can get, and two because I just couldn't see a game about politics
Depending on which victory I'm going for my building order is basically the same as the previous two posts. If I'm going for a alliance victory I usually build the following - Soil Enhancement - Entertainment Centre - News Network - Banking Centre - Diplomatic Translators ( As soon as I get the Diplomacy tech I start building this) - Embasy - Frictionless Clothing (another trade good worth getting) - Multimedia Cen
