Object dock

I just thought I would comment on Objectdock plus which i have just purchased. I am not into progamming but I do like to be individual and I like skinning my desk top. Up until now no problem wb is excellent (easy to use) ect. Object dock is a brilliant concept but the most frustrating to use - unless u happen to be a progammer. There does not appear to be any help/advice anywhere. I have used most of stardocs progs with no problem - but this is useless. I have just spent the worst 60 mins of my life trying to set it up. What a waste of money.

You don't have to a programmer...... trust me, if that were true, I'd be lost. Look in the ObjectDock directory, and open the Readme file. You'll find basic instructions there. Also here's a mini tutorial on OD. http://corkyo.wincustomize.com/Articles.aspx?AID=82930

I have a motto I impose on everyone in the office. If you use an XP computer "When in doubt, right-click" those context menus that show up are almost always what people are "looking" for.

Wha?! Somebody puttin down OD? Dem's fightin werds!

Nah, really, it's a great program - I hardly ever use my start menu anymore.

Besides, if you need any advice to help set it up, just ask. We're more than happy to help. There are a few docklets that can be a pain at times to get setup (like the check mail) where you have to edit the config file, but once it's setup, it's finished.

What's even more fun is after you get everything setup - SAVE AS A THEME FILE. Then play with it...change icons, etc... And if you decide to use the Calendar by Andreas - resave your theme file cause that's where the data is located at. - but that's beside the point.

Please don't give up on it. Just be a bit more patient. You can be one of the kewl kids too. LOL
