It does seem rather random but I would think it has at least something to do with download count..

Why should it have anything to do with download count? (It's featured skin, not "popular" skin)

I don't believe I said anywhere in my statement what it *should* be based on. I simply stated that I *thought* it *might* have something to do with download count. I realize it's not popular skin but I thought perhaps the suggestions the featured skin was chosen based on some moderators whim were a bit silly. Apparently I put too much thought into it though. Heck, if featured skins are chosen that day why not just have a random number generator that picks them, then it wouldn't even take a click.

Thank you for your confidence in the moderators..... I've never selected a skin to be featured, but I don't think the Mods that take the time to feature skins, choose them on a "whim". It's a considered opinion, that this skin deserves to be featured, regardless of download count.

To be honest, there's a "Featured Queue" much like the fabled Skin Queue, and all it takes is a little bribing and a little magic to get up there

Let me say it this way.. I select something that grabs me and that I'd download and hope that others might like it also.  I've selected walls, blinds, cursors and logons.  I don't look to see who it's by as that doesn't make any difference to me.  Sorry if that isn't what ya want to hear.  Don't know how the others select.

Has nothing to do with the Moderators, I respect what all of the voluteers do to keep WC floating. My comments are directed only at the process. But hey, I'm no skinner so I could care less.
