Again, something I found on Virtual Plastic. A little app called miniMIZE. When you minimize a window it makes a thumbnail of it on your desktop and removes the item from the taskbar. To restore it you click on the thumbnail. This can seem unpractical if it's hidden under other windows, but you can assign hotkeys to bring the thumbnails on top.
Unfortunatly I haven't been able to try it for more than a couple of minutes because it got some issues with WindowBlinds and ObjectDock. It did work initially, but then I changed the thumbnail size in the settings and it stopped working. I've reported this to the developer and I am hoping for a fix. Not sure what to make of it yet as I am unable to test it further, but you lot can always give it a go. Just note, if you got WB and OD, don't do any changes to the thumbnail settings as it might very well stop the app from working.

I tried it a while ago and found it to be okay. But since WindowFX does the same, I just stuck with that.

Yea, WindowFX allows you to do the same, to an extent. but it doesn't have a hotkeyt to bring them on top. But then again. WindowFX works. I'm quite excited avout the new version of WindowFX which I think is way over due now.

miniMIZE just got an update.
It fixed the issue I had with the app stopping to generate thumbnail after adjusting the thumbnail setting. From the quick play around I've just done it seem to work very well. Even got some nice extra options.
