OMG! I am more Liberal than my Son!

I cant believe it!  But my oldest and I just got through a discussion.  (heated at times, but not on my end).  I told him that Suicidal people were not selfish, just whacked!  And he argued the point with me!

I finally convinced him that, from a normal point of view, yes they are selfish, but to themselves in the act, they are not!

Strike one.

Then we argued about wackos and if they were responsible for their actions! (you know, Hinkley et al).  And then if retarded people could be held responsible for their actions.  I was arguing, no, they don't have the requisite intent!

My God!  Am I becoming a liberal?  No, I think not, and any one who has read me knows that.  But my son is growing up, and yes, it does swing both ways.  But after he told me his latest (after voting for Kerry), I see some great hope!

It is just a matter of time!  And another PBK finds reason!  I love it when a plan comes together!

My eldest.....same thing. I said the word "crap" one day and the look I got from him was indescribeable......."I can't believe my mom said THAT word." he said.

Now my youngest is turning into an ultra conservative. I didn't see that coming!! But I'm likeing what I see.

People take their own lives for different reasons...some are whacked, some are vengeful, some are selfish.....but for the most part I believe they are those without hope. They have no vision for their lives. They have no light, no hope for a better tomorrow.

You have a son at Liberty University? And you're worried about him becoming too conservative? Too late, baby... he's already there.
I studied at Liberty online for two semesters. Graduate program for Masters in Divinity (back when I was gonna grow up to be an Army chaplain; BYU didn't have an online program). The instructors were biased against my essays due to my not being Falwellian enough. Intolerance, I say! Intolerance!
