Gwen Stefani's marriage is fulfilling and rewarding in the modish "Luxurious."
The Isley Brothers' sample of "Between The Sheets" starts the song. A man speaks in French over it. It sets an exquisite tone.
Stefani begins with the chorus. She says that she and her husband maintain their marriage and give it the care it needs. In return, they have a satsifying relationship. They work hard at their jobs and invest the money.
In the first verse, she compares his kisses to white wine. His kisses are savory and divine. Cuddling with him is like being surrounded by an extravagant garden with sculptures and an Olympic-sized pool. It's comforting and relaxing. He is a classy guy who takes her anywhere she wishes. Their love for each other has grown into something deeper over the years. When they look to the sky, they see diamonds, not stars. He treats her well and lets her have anything she wants. She has life good with him.
In the pre-chorus, she says they are both getting spoiled. They live their lives to the fullest. Their relationship is like finely threaded, imported cotton. It's unlike anything else and unique. Their love is warm and silky, like cashmere.They both started out raw and inexperienced regarding relationships. But now, they are the finest couple.

In the second verse, she says that when they hold hands or hug, the affection becomes as valuable and precious as gold. It's beautiful like the tuberose. In the bridge, she imitates the sound a cash register makes. Then, she says that they've worked too hard on their relationship to breakup over something petty. Next, she compares their relationship to marijuana. She says it's something they nurture and they get high from it. Their adoration for each other is hot. It's a flame that never goes out.
The pre-chorus is sung again. Again, it's edited.

The single breathes cool, making its self-absorption charming. Stefani is proud of her marriage and wants to brag about it to everybody. It's shameless and over-the-top. Yet, it's not the least bit grating.
"Luxurious" is delightfully cheesy.
