To all my JU friends and aquaintances, I would like to wish every one a very Merry Christmas and a happy, safe, prosperous New Year.

I have enjoyed the interactions this year, both the positives and negatives. The thing I enjoy most about JU is this open interaction between people who might not necessarily mix in 'real' life. So thanks one and all for the on-going education. I will continue to look forward to learning more thanks to you all.

Particularly, I would like to thank Shovel, Tex, Phoenixboi, Champas, Serenity, Toblerone, Moderateman, Dr Guy and BlueDev for making me laugh, making me think, passing on new knowledge and for keeping me coming back. You guys rock.

We got your card (a few days ago, actually), and it's adorable! Thank you so much. The kids (and Adrian, too, haha) loved the koala bears. It was so nice to see a handwritten note inside as well. Things like that seem to swallow up the distance and make this a much smaller world.

Doc, ... We don't consider ourselves down under, you know. We just let you guys think that, but we really know we're on top. It is you guys who have learnt to read upside down, but you don't even know it.

Shovel, if it weren't for you, I would never have read 'Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance'. It has become a constant source of inspiration for me. You don't know just how much you influence others here, do you?

Really? I have a new talent?  damn!  Thanks!  I can read upside down!  And all because I met some Australians on line!  I do have a lot to be thankful for!  And you guys are one of them!

Seriously, I learned to read upside down from reading the pages of my kids book while they were looking at them!  Not hard really!  But then I dont sleep on the ceiling either!

Serenity, Happy New Year to you too. I had a very relaxed and enjoyable New Year's eve. The following day was one of the hottest days on record for Sydney. I think the temperature peaked at 46 degrees celcius, which is about 115 degrees fareheit or, in other words, bloody hot. My wife and I closed our blinds, kept the place as dark as possible and stayed well out of the sun. Thankfully, yesterday was back to normal. Global warming, anyone?
