I wear My Virtual Red Ribbon Today in honor of my Aunt

And a Fellow JoeUser

Today is World AIDS day, a day set aside for AIDS awareness. I’m not going to state statistics about AIDS, or give a lecture about it, since I am sure most of us are well educated on it.

I’d simply like to state my support for those who have been affected by this disease, namely my aunt, who is currently battling AIDS, and also for our fellow JUser, Phoenixboi, who is HIV positive (I hope you don’t mind me mentioning your name). I also stand behind those who tirelessly continue to search for a cure, and join those who want to help fight this battle in any way possible.

So here is my Virtual World AIDS Day Red Ribbon...and I wear it with all my love and support.

This is a great tribute. I wanted to say something myself on that day. But I didn't have time and I'm glad you did it! The awareness that's out there in our world today of this dreaded disease is really good. I know still so many keep their heads in the sand on this topic. I too have lost friends to this disease, it's horrible.

I join your salute. Thx Rose!
