ObjectBar 2.0 / new control center - missing functionality

I just read the news that that control center version 2 would be based on the ObjectBar code, so I figured Id check it out. Well, I have to say I am REALLY REALLY bummed about some lost functionality in ObjectBar 2.

In the control center, when I add a drive gauge, I can click on the drive gauge and it opens up an explorer window to that drive. This functionality, is missing from the drive gauges of OB.

Can someone from stardock please tell me this is missing because of the fact that it is still in Beta? please???

I know it doesnt sound like a huge deal, but this is one of the primary reasons I use Control Center, so if this goes away, I will likely be stuck using V1 instead of the nifty new features of v2...

thanks

I agree that there are missing functionality in the current virtual desktop, compared with Control Center.
This is source of my headache for a year or two.

Most of my comlains are about "Virtual Desktops".
The function of CC is very powerful. I mean this for example, "Locked Windows".
This feature enables us to lock an application to be resident to any window that the user specifies BEFORE starting the application, not arranging (moving) the screens after it was launched.
With this feature, we can arrange the roles of the windows, for example, desktop 1 for mails and other network related, desktop 2 for MS office related and desktop 3 for any specific applications of our own.
Further more, we can specify that any application should be displayed on all desktops. This is powerful for living with applications which one cannot live without them. In my case, they are Stardock TabLaunchpad, sticky notes software and Stardock DesktopX.
"Virtual Desktops" can automatically handles DesktopX to be visible in all the desktops, but ignores TabLaunchpad. And the user cannot specify "Locked Windows" feature.

I am a little pessimistic to think, in these days, Stardock is focusing visual effects too much and forgets the origin and essential part of Object Desktop are 'Productivity Suite". I admire what Stardock has achieved in visual effects areas. I was very surprised and pleased when I have been observing the evolution of WindowBlinds for years, for example. But Ocject Desktop Suite should be thought twice from the point of view of the everyday's productivity.

Note: I am a loyal user of OD Windows from the Beta days and registered user of OD since OD for OS/2 version 1.0.
