You won't regret it, Jafo...NZ is a beautiful country and well worth the visit.....just don't ask me to cat-sit

If you got locked out with the cat, nobody would be home to let you in...

And we can't have a repeat performance of that, now can we!!!
Was shy then, even moreso now.
Having gained several (lotsa) pounds since then, it would be decidedly more embarrassing....especially considering the bright street light right outside.

Hey Xenon101 Hanmer Springs is where I live. And I gotta say, it beats the crap out of living in Ch Ch
I'm tweaking my desktop, I just don't know how to actually make skins But I know how to customise the ones I do have. But my creativity lies in other areas. Namely music.

If you're ever up un in Hanmer at the thermal pools, call into Health, Body & Mind and say Hi

I am not from New Zealand, nor have I ever been there, but I would like to immigrate there from the U.S. in the fall of '06. I would also be open to Australia. Basically, I have met too many people from that half of the world who are awesome, and I have seen too much good press to pass it up. One roadblock, I need to know about finding a job in NZ or OZ. I am a digital creative: web, logo, type, and graphic design. Skilled in Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash, HTML, Javascript, CSS, PHP, MySQL, FontLab, and Mac/PC independant user. Anyway, any ideas would be helpful.

One advantage NZ has over Aussie Sembetu is that it has no weird, dangerous or poisonous animals, apart from the odd rogue sheep.

Then why do you keep telling me when I move to NZ that you want us to move back to the Gold Coast in Aussie...where all the creepy critters are...

Yes, I have heard that, also the weather has been said to be VERY pleasant in most of NZ.

As for the immigration sites, believe me, I have been on them for about two years looking around. Basically, I have no understanding of what I should be looking for culturally when searching for jobs. I have never looked for a job outside of the U.S., but I have been to Egypt, Korea, and Europe (4 years England, 4 years Germany). Like I said I have just never been down to the half of the world where the drains swirl the opposite direction.

In any case, I was just kind of looking for some advice, I guess, on job hunting down there. Seriously, I do not plan on staying in the U.S. after the fall of next year. Nope.

Oz has most of the deadliest critters on the planet...eg the first 10 most venomous snakes...all Aussie....but nothing's worse than a Kiwi sheep's scorn....
