There is a link to a toolbar for IE6 that adds tabs in another thread https://www.wincustomize.com/Forums.aspx?ForumID=1&AID=77974#598382.

You have to either wait for IE 7 to come out, or you can download the Avant Browser (which uses IE) which supports tabs now.

Another one you could try is Maxthon. It's free, I.E. based, and has tabbed browsing.

It's also a lot faster than Internet Explorer.

It comes with a free password manager, called "Roboform" which is a handy tool if you visit a lot of sites you are a member of. One button 'click & login'.

Roboform itself even has a password protection, so anyone else using the same computer ~cannot sign in as you. It requires the password to be entered after logging off/switching user. No password ..no access to the stored ones

Also Firefox does tabbed browsing and you can add functionality by installing 'extensions.'
