Home-made Baby Bibs.

Today my wife Kazuko made some monogrammed bibs for baby Kenny. She used some towels that we have at home, but don't use. She cut them in bib shape, hemmed up the edges, added snaps, and sewed his name into the bottom. The two that she made today look really good on baby Kenny. (Kazuko is becoming a regular Martha Stewart-type!)

Kenny will definitely put his new bibs to good use. He drools a lot!

The bibs look great! Using bibs is so much easier then changing their clothes all day long. When I did day care I made all my own bibs out of heavy flannel material. They would last for years despite daily washing. So much better then any you could buy. And because I had 5 in diapers at one time, I probably had at least that many in bibs also! But they all went home with unstained shirts at the end of the day.

Nice bibs! My sister suggested making bibs out of clear plastic... that way you could still see the cute outfits.

Clear plastic is a suffocation risk though. Dish towels are perfect. Nice and absorbent. My first baby drooled until he was about 2! Bibs saved on changing outfits like Jill said. The name is a really nice touch although you might regret it once you want to reuse them with your next baby Very nicely done. What a lucky little guy to have such a talented, resourceful mommy.
