Mean spirited remarks

What ever happened to the milk of human kindness?

I see and read many blogs here, comment on most of them too.

I see many mean spirited, and very unkind comments. {yeh I do it too} so shut up.

While I understand the pressures of just being alive I cannot help but wonder why do I make mean remarks/

There are some blogs that infuriate me, but do I really have to call people sheep?

I think from now on if I have nothing kind to say, even in disagreement, I will just keep my mouth shut.

As adults we can disagree without trying to casterate or humiliate someone.

I am wondering why I stay and participate in mean things.

Maybe it's time for me to move on.

For anyoine that comes here and is mean about this post, have a prempatory kiss my dimpled ass ahead of time.

Elie..I've said this before...I'll say it again; Too many people on JU take this site too seriously. We are here to post our thoughts, jokes, whatever... My attitude... you don't like what I have to say...Don't read me! You want to comment on what I have to say...positive or negetive...fine...go right ahead...
BUT...you attack me personally for any reason on MY blog you become history! Simple as that!!
No need to tolerate meaness....no need to be mean to others either...except in the cases of total morons(we have our share of them)...but otherwise..tolerate and be tolerated.
You and I are perfect examples lil bro...I don't think we agree on anything except the time of day.

Rar! My disrespect for your monkeyshines knows no bounds!

Anyone without an XXXtreme viewpoint is a dupe or a tool!

And anyone with a name like Moderateman is nothing more than a tiny party hat for my behind!

No-talent assclowns, the lot of you.

I kid! I kid because I love... to kid!

Keep up the fine work, Mod. You're one of the good ones.

I do get your point though, I am trying to NOT use my blacklist at all because I want differing points of view.

I love a good razzing, and I do have a real good sense of humor, but it seems that some only come into my blog to demean me and that's starting to really piss me off.

People say mean things online because they can. They don't have to worry about getting their ass kicked here so they let fly with crap that would land them in the hospital elsewhere.

I ran into the same thing when I chatted on aol, I ran into a few big mouths at akron during a huge A.A. rally funny how when they found out who I was the apoligies came flying fast and furious.

Not you too talking about moving on! Whip, you, I won't have it!

So we all have disagreements sometimes, it's real life even if it's online! And don't stop being who you are just to please some folks Elie. We love you just the way you are! And a good ribbing now and then is good for the soul, doncha think?!

I agree with Whip on this issue. The anonimity factor is the biggest reason.

That and the fact some of the time the aggressors have no valid opinion or counterpoint to fire back at their targets.

It's like elementary school sometimes...

love disagreement is causes exchange of ideas, it's just when you only {not you} come in my blog to trash me, then leave that's what I am refering to.

He's a jerk, plain and simple, regardless of how "well" he writes.A perfectly spelled, grammatically correct comment from an asshole is still a comment from an asshole, MM, don't sweat it, he'll hang himself (again) soon enough.

the sad part about this is I like the flaming ass cannot for the life of me see why I just do, as far as his perfect writing I cut and pasted an entire article of his to microsoft word and found tons of mistakes, when I presented his with all the errors he deleted my comments.

This is from "The Neverending Story"
A delightful movie, not just for kids.......
many lessons can be learned from it.
AND the bullies get their "commeupance" just what they had coming to them!!!
THAT'S what happens when a "bully" comes on someones' blog and is rude, mean,
and downright assinine.....sooner or later someone will nail them too.....verbally of course.
I think it's only other bullies that enjoy reading bloggers that are rude......it's one thing to
speak one's mind, it's another to trash people on their own blog...no courage needed to do that
just meaness and pathetic attempts at being funny/and or downright nasty.
One doesn't need to swear to write intelligently.

I'm a smartass, but I mostly reserve my mean-spirited remarks for when I'm at home (or online when I'm feeling spunky, hehe).

funny I do not see you as mean at all, at least to me.

You do know how to put someone "in their place" when the mood strikes you but somehow you do it with kindness instead of head hunting behavior.

thank you for being exactly who you are tex.

Isn't it strange how the rudeness of some of the comments are surrounded in passive aggressive blah, blah blah. Maybe it's time that we all think about how we talk to people, how we treat them, how we act, maybe it's time to look into the inner mirror and see if we like the reflection. I am not a religious person, but the bible says "love your neighboor as yourself", and I have always thought that people who hide on line and say mean , hurtful, passive aggressive words, dont like themselves much. For, if I read the blog correctly, all the writer was saying was, in short, I'm tired of the mean spirited bull.... And I'm going to do something about it. Wouldn't it be nice if all of us thought that way about those who treat us that way, either in person or on line. And choose not to bring harm, but to simply say, "I'm done now"
and walk the other way. Instead of all of us trying to show how bright , smart and egocentric we are about proving that we can be mean spirited. I've been mean spirited, and I didn't like it. WE choose. Sorry , don't mean to preach. It's just my personal belief. That we choose our behavior. We can map the universe. Can't we debate with even spiritness?

You sound quite neurotic and very insecure.

You start a blog entry lamenting the loss of human kindness. And end it by assuming you will come under some kind of attack from someone who has yet to even read your blog entry. So you conclude by throwing out an attacking remark to someone who at the time of "your" writing doesn't even exist, to comments that haven't yet even been made, by telling them kiss your arse.

What was the point of this entry in the first place?

To the OP, good point, I just stumbled on this site a few days ago and read a certain article where the author was just tearing people apart for stating honest opinions on a subject. I decided to join and hope that is not how it always is around here.
