Question about config/potential issues

Hi All :) I downloaded the trial version of Multiplicity on my two computers at home to give it a whirl and if it worked I would go directly for the pro as the product looks extremely user friendly. I think this is user error but I cannot switch b/t my two computers dispite the connection being there. Please let me know if there is any bonehead things that I may have done to mess things up :NOTSURE: Thanks in advance for your help ;) Thoman

Okies, as I had thought it was user error but this may help others in the future

SETUP:
I use zonealarm pro on both computers and i use a switch/router on my network (will not work if you use the generic hub as there will not be a subnet) - note it has to be the Zonealarm pro to configure it correctly, which means yes you need to buy that many licenses if this is the route you go.

1. Under the left tab named 'Firewall' click on the 'Zones' tab on top.
2. On the bottom right Click add -> ipaddress (or range).
3. Add the subnet ip address (or range) of the other computer and make it a trusted zone.
4. Click ok and then apply.

1. Up on top there is the Main tab labeled aptly 'Main' click it.
2. There is a Trusted zone section with a button named 'Custom' click it.
3. Go to TCP outgoing and incoming(two different slots and two different places - so a total of 4 places) you want to put the number 30564. (this opens the port to the other computers in the trusted zone(you just got done setting this in the zones tab.... don't you remember?)

- Do the same with the other computers to see/use the your main computers ports.

With this you should have a secure connection between your computers w/o worrying about the general internet seeing your goods

LOOKING UP YOUR IP INFO:
1. your ipaddress info can be found at anytime by going start(on the bottom left corner of your screen) and then click 'Run...' and type in 'cmd' and click 'ok'
2. type 'ipconfig /all'
3. sift through the junk and your ip will be there(note if you use a hub your ip will not be static, you need a switch/router to have more control over this[they are WAY more efficient as well])

MY THOUGHTS:
This product rocks - Im upgrading to pro right after this
