Na Na Na
Album: Hot & Wet
Year: 2003
While at the club, 112 is turned on dancing with a good-looking woman in the stiff "Na Na Na."
Supercat (who last appeared on the Sugar Ray single "Fly") intros the song with an unknown reference, mentions the title of the single and the group. ("This is the “Long Long He Love†fe the gal dem, Na, Na, Na Na/The Rapper Don and 112 he nah gon stay pon the shelf.")
Alongside an inky Hindi beat, 112 says that they want to see the girl move her butt and body all around. Then, they copy the chorus of Aaliyah's "Rock the Boat" with by telling her to change positions and to start a new position a few times each. Then, he tells her to dance more provocatively. ("I wanna see you rock that ass/Rock that ass/Rock that ass/Rock that ass/
Work your body body/Work your body body/Work your body body/Work your body body/
Change positions/Change positions/Change positions/New positionI want a new position/Twirk it for me/Twirk it for me/Twirk it for me/Twirk it for me.")
Q sings the first verse. While dancing with the girl, he takes her hands and pulls her closer to him. He whispers to her that they can be win the attention from everyone in the club. He compliments her on her steps and says that he wants to dance with her forever. ("Come a little closer baby/Girl I want to feel your body/Lead you right next to me/We can be the life of the party/I just wanna let you know/I love the way your movin'/Never wanna let you go/
Never wanna stop the music.")
In the chorus, 112 are speechless. She's a hot, fine woman and they like to watch her groove. ("Girl Na Na Na Na/You don’t know what you doin' to me/Girl you lookin' so sexy
When you doin' the dance for me/Hey we goin' Na Na Na Na/You don’t know what you doin' to me/Girl you lookin' so sexy/When you doin' the dance for me.")
Slim has the second verse. He tells her that things need to remain sexual and steamy between them. When she touches him, it's the best thing in the world. He invites her into the V.I.P. room. ("Now that I’ve got you babe/Know we gotta keep it sexy/Touchin' all over me/Baby it's ecstasy/Lady won’t you take my hand/Let’s go to VIP I don’t think you understand/What you are doin' to me.")
After the chorus, is the sleazy bridge which opened the single.
Next, Supercat has his solo. Supercat has been trying to talk to her all night. When he does, he learns she works at the club and is one of the managers. He tells her to come his hotel room (referencing Biggie's phrase "Room 112" as well as their second album.) which is room 112. It's only going to him and her. She kisses him and leads him to the bed, which delights Supercat. ("I’m hollerin' at this shorty/This hot cutie beauty/Tell me said that she was the managing duty/
She said she come in about work 10:30/Tell her fe come a Room 112 and check me/Between you and I we’re havin' a private party/Sittin' me down on the bed that means you’re ready to strip me...")
The chorus and bridge are sung. The chorus ends the single.
The revolting "Na Na Na" once again makes the woman a sex object. 112, in a bid to reinvent themselves, sell themselves as perverts like Lil' Jon and the like. R&B is in desperate need of an overhaul. Every song is either in a club, in the ghetto or a in a club located in the ghetto. "Na Na Na" sounds like it was cheaply made. The single does not suit 112 at all. They sound awkward and uncomfortable in it the entire time.

Plus, I'm almost done with an entire year's worth of songs. My goal is at least get one specific year done and make a best/worst of list.
