Icon Packager and Audigy 2 ZS

I have a very High end Pc....and i have reinstalled icon packager 3 times...and every time i use it, when i rebout, it cause my sound card software to hang, lagging my system indefinently...it may be harming other things too, but this is obvious....has anyone had sinmilar issues? i have had to do a system restore and go back to older version....will there be an update to fix this soon

amd athlon xp 3400, audigy 2 zs, radeon x800 256, 1.5 gb ram, 250 gb hd space

I definitely think you ought to look elsewhere. Once the icon package is applied, unless specified otherwise, IconPackager.exe will not be loaded at system boot. I have an Audigy 2 ZS too and I really don't see how IP could interfere with your sound card. Maybe a PCI latency problem? just a suggestion...
Did you mean that the mere presence of the installed IconPackager software on your hard drive causes the Creative software to malfunction? Which of the Creative apps do you have problems with? THX/EQ/Speaker/Surround Mixer/EAX Console?
