How to extract .sit files

First thing you will need is StuffIt Expander, IconLover or Axialis IconWorkshop.
StuffIt Expander setup:
- Launch Expander
- Choose Options from the Edit menu
- Click on the Cross Platform tab
- Chose the following settings:
Convert Text files to Windows Format: Never
Save Macintosh Files in MacBinary Format: Always
Add File Extension: Never
Click OK
This seyup process only need to be done once.

Now you just extract, but the files are not like the once you are used to see! It's URL:File Protocol!!!

I use Axialis to open these URL-files!
You simply just open the program, find the folder with the extracted files, click on a URL:File Protocol and "vupti" it's imported and ready to save, which the program automatic do in .ico

I think that was it!

I think you can get it here http://www.stuffit.com/win/expander/index.html or you can try download.com, but be sure you not get the one for Mac
The icons are very hard to find, so....Good luck

Dosen't Winzip or Winrar handle .sit files?

Nope! They just look at the .sit-file and think - "What is that?"
You have to do as I've told and when you expand the file you will be asked:
Expand: Click yes
Same as original: Click yes

That all.
