So, what do you do?

What does everyone do for a living? Are you a business man/woman? stay at home mom or dad? Student? Pimp??

I am a lead music, movement, and art teacher for a mommy and me franchise...I'm currently trying to get out and get a job in the public schools for the fall. Wish me luck!!

Right now, I'm a full-time stay at home mom and a full-time military spouse.  I'm also a Notary Public and I help out the base legal office when they need it.

Before this, I worked security enforcement and was a trainee investigator.

After D comes back from deployment and my back surgery is all healed up I'm going to get certified to teach yoga (thanks to LifeHappens for pointing me in the right direction!).

I'm an IT worker for a large insurance company in New England. My current work has me doing Network Security stuff. I'm just starting on some work to review Encrypted File System problems and support procedures.

Another IT guy here. We are a small comapny though. We have four IT guys on our staff. So, While my primary function is network and telephones, I have to be a jack of all trades. Sometimes I am the guy who moves furniture.

Dharma:
The two most important professions of all--wife and mom! Wow--I would have never pegged you as an investigator...how very James Bond of you.

Yoga is so tough! my muscles hurt just thinking about it!! I'm sure it will all work out for you!

Zoomba and John:
You guys are going to think I'm really dense, but what does IT stand for? it sounds like it deals with computers...which are a foreign entity to me (except for blogging, emailing, and job hunting!)

Mod:
Like I said, the stay at home hubby is one of the most important professions btw...I saw your pic on dharma's link...man you are a giant!

IT = Information Technology... that broader category to cover computers beyond "Programming" and "Help Desk" We're the guys that run all the machines in the background that keep you connected to the Internet, getting your email and posting to sites like JoeUser.

I derive my income by providing affordable housing and transportation to those who otherwise, would go without.

TRANSLATION; I am a used car dealer, loan shark, landlord, repo man, and general parasite on society.

Again this summer I will be the Climbing and Ropes course ( COPE ) director at our BSA summer camp ( oh the joy of sweating on a climbing tower in the heat of a NC summer while dangling petrified young boys 40 feet off the ground....).

I am also addicted to education, working on a new Masters, this time I'm gonna take on Professional Studies in Hummanities ( Thomas Edison State College is so cool....) I keep toying with the idea of a JD, but the program available locally is 60 miles away, on-site only, and rather time consuming.

I've tried being a teacher in the past ( there is a special place in heaven for teachers, and I don't belong there ) I've owned an infussion therapy service ( sold out to a national provider before Medicare/Medicaid killed the ROI ) and I did 6 years in the peacetime Army.( closest I came to Active active duty was a base lock down at APG, Md when Regan was shot....)

In my 40 + years I regret absolutely nothing I've attempted, with the glaring exception of my first marriage......

So it goes....
