I Don't Reply Either...

On my last article about working at a CPA office, I had 5 replies, some of which were my own. That is the new norm for me, because of my lack of.... dailly blogging. The odd thing is that 746 people clicked on that article. Yes, I realize that some were reclicking, for whatever reason, but all the same, out of approx 746 people, I had less than 5 replies.

I do the same thing. When I first log on to JU, I often just read through the new posts, or recent replies, and browse some of my favorites. I don't reply though. The reason in most cases is because someone has already said what I wanted to say. Great minds think alike. Another reason is beause I don't have any interest in what the article was actually about, the title just sounded interesting, or in some cases, just wierd or confusing.

Another odd thing was the number of... I can't think of the exact word now... "home" visits, or page visits. On the same article as above, I had over a thousand views in less than a month. That is a record for me, before I left, and now. What are people expecting to see exactly? That sounded rude, I know... and I'm not complaining, just really curious...

So, to the multiples...just leave a reply, even if it's just Hi. I would like to see exactly who is out there reading me... :)

Thank you for your time...

I was just curious what this thread was about and clicked on it.

Just dropped in to say Hi, and hope your workload is manageable!

1000 views? That's impressive. Mine never get more than a few dozen at best.

Oh yeah, HI

I thought you left us Jade?

I'm glad you're still around though. The Utah JU coalition is back up to 4....YAY!

Intriguing title. Hi.

I'm not gonna reply to this! DAMN! I couldn't resist!

Good to see an article of yours. I don't catch a lot of them that are posted when I'm not online.

Lol, I honestly didn't expect to get this many replies!

Manopeace: Hi, I am glad it's going well too.

Danny: I'm not replying to you either...

Ravenblack: At least I got your attention.

Dr.Guy: Now that April is over, things are quiet for the most part. Hello, btw.

MasonM: Hi, I know I have read a few of yours, just keep writing.

BlueDev: Hi hi.

Thatoneguy: I did, but I really enjoyed blogging, so I am back. Who is the fourth Utahn?

Forever: Perhaps we should make a club... The Unreplied, but Really Read Club

drmiler: lucky for me, I haven't written anything that can be agreed or disagreed with lately. At least, not that I know of.... glad you are still reading. I am honored.

Nebraska: Hi to you as well.

Cordelia: I love your name. Hi.

Gideon: I haven't really written much lately. Glad you still read the ones you do catch.

Moderateman: It's nice to see you replying to my articles.

My recent series regularly gets about 100 views, and has me and two other people commenting a few times. But I must admit to committing the act of often read seldom comment myself.

I utterly refuse to say hi despite having already commented!

You really shouldn't read my stuff. Brain cells have been known to die of boredom.

Hi again.

LoL...I think my cells need to die sometimes. Then new cells with new ideas can be born. Not that your work does that of course...

I just checked my stats on the article about working. There are now over 7000 page/home views. Up 6000 from when I wrote this. Is that not bizarre?

I read more articles than I comment on, mainly because for so many of them I have nothing to add to it. Everything I could possibly say has already been said, or, in other cases, there's nothing worth saying.

Hello!

As mentioned elsewhere (and Dr. Guy said as well) it's probably cookies (although it could be JoeUser being flaky, or your computer rebeling for whatever reason). If it's a new problem ask yourself what's changed on your computer since you were able to log in. But if that was when you last posted an article, well alot could have happened in that time. I would check the browser settings that allow cookies to be saved (which vary by browser). Tools/Internet Options/Privacy for Internet Explorer. Medium security should work, or you could set it to allow all for a test (making sure to set it back after the test). If it still doesn't work with allow all then it's likely a problem elsewhere. Dr. Guy's suggestion about clearing the cookies/cache isn't a bad one, but if you have cookies for other sites (login information for example) you'll lose that. But if you do have other sites that remember your login info then that implies cookies are working properly for you and the problem is related to JoeUser. In any case, hope you get things fixed and feel free to yell at me more if you want me to try and help more.
