When I meet people who customize their computers, there seems to be a general..pathway they take.

At first, they change just their wallpapers.  Most people stay at the wallpaper level.  But some move on and want to change say their icons. And then others want to change their Start bar or title bars and such and learn about WindowBlinds and such.  And eventually they start getting into programs like DesktopX and widget enabling programs.

My question is, how much of this stuff do YOU use?

Me, I pretty much have it all going.  WindowBlinds is a must. My wallpaper is always changing.  Got various kinds of icons on my system. And I usually have a couple widgets going.  I also use RightClick which is skinned. And of course ObjectDock Plus.

Must have, Windowblinds, Iconpackager, wallpaper, cursorXp, ObjectDock+ and my widgets... any less and I will go into insane twitches... it's sad really. Oh and Winamp. After I got my new system the first thing to go on it not five minutes out the box was WindowBlinds. Its slightly addictive.

WindowBlinds.... can't imagine using the computer without it.
ObjecDockPlus.... another can't do without. (it fufilled a long running desire for a decent systray, among other things)

WindowBlinds, matching wallpaper of course, IconPackager, Widgets, ObjectDock, with LiteStep as my shell, and OD Launchpad to keep it all within reach! Any more and my C400 processor goes "Bonkers".

First i changed my wallpapers...
tried to change my icons
found wincustomize and downloaded some windowblinds skins
got into desktopX
started making desktopX themes
started making windowblinds skin
started making icons
stopped using desktopX
stopped changing my icons
stopped using windowblinds

now i am back to the way i was in the first place

As most, I started just changing the wallpaper.
Since then I make daily use of WB, Logon, BootSkin, IconPack, CursorXP, Rainlendar, SysMetrix and OD

Colored backgrounds in the early Windows versions.

Wallpapers and Titlebar colors in 2000 and XP.

Now use IconPackager and ObjectDock Plus at all times.

WindowBlinds most of the time, with the exception of studying the core parts of XP for advanced support knowledge - when I use the default blue "Luna" theme (which I actually like, though the ability to adjust the HSL would be fabulous).

Used Core widgets until they started displaying issues with DX3 for some reason, now use the My MSN page to display the weather and a calendar (at least until Mormegil makes the Core series into gadgets, if he decides to do so).

I use Windowblinds and usually I stick to one skin for many months - sometimes more than a year. I sometimes use Iconpackager. But thats about it. I don't use anything else. Pretty much I like my desktop to br free of clutter so no calendars or widgets - nothing but 3 icons.

Sometimes I take a break from the cursors and other smaller progs, but I always use the icons and windowblinds. I rarely use logons. Never bootskins. And I don't really use FX too much. Can't be without windowblinds or the wallpapers. My computer would look naked!

Always use Windowblinds, its a must. I can't stand using a computer without it. I change wallpaper from time to time, but its not terribly important to me since its rarely fully visible. Use Icon Packager make a more complete changeover than WB gives. ALso use CursorXP.
Winamp is my main audio player, have used it since I discovered it many years ago, and it launched my love of skinning. Also use Right Click and Enhanced Dialog all the time.
Have used DX, OB, WFX, OD, OD+ from time to time, but rarely find the need to keep them going.

I started out with walls, of course, although I didn't really see that as anything different, as that's something that everyone does..
I then, unsuprisingly, started to get into winamp skins a bit..
3 years passed-by, and I hadn't done much. But I had my own computer, and I got really tired of Luna and asked "Why the heck aren't there some other themes or something you can get?"
Within about 5 minutes I'd discovered WindowBlinds, and I've been hooked on all kinds of skinning since..

Currently I'm running:
Windowblinds
IconPackager
Several DX Widgets (Not DX itself)
I'd be lost without ObjectDock Plus

and Ultramon, though not really skinning anything, I don't think I'd be able to run 2 monitors without it.

Currently I use Windowblinds, Icon Packager/Developer, and Object Bar. I change my wall paper daily and my blinds almost as often.. Loved it so much I have begun to learn Skin Studio and have been making my own (Not near the quality of some, but hey, they are mine!) I can blame this obcession on my son, who showed me the Wincustomize site,got me hooked and then handed me his Photoshop Text and challenged me to learn it so I could make stuff!!

windowblinds, icon packager, wallpaper, object dock plus, the to do list gadget, cursorxp, everyday use on my computer.
Occasinally break out and use desktop x, right click, keyboard launchpad (which I've downloaded the other day).
Theme Manager on a daily basis also love putting together themes, skinstudio to check out wb skins for errors and fix.
Icon developer (still haven't worked with but will be once I've gotten time away from the same ole routine such as "work".
Object desktop Rocks...........

I had problems with Object dock and Nortons not liking eachother some months back, but i just upgraded to XP Pro and gave it another try to be delighted with the result - everything works ok now. So with the aforementioned, I feel that I have a complete desktop experience again. OD is a great program and soooo convenient to use.

I began changing desktops with Desktop Architect within days of getting my first computer about 2 years ago, but when I changer over to Stardock gear, it exceeded my expectations by far - thanks to all who made it possible

Oh, the heck with it, I upgraded on Xmas eve.
